Vanquility Acres Inn...simply the best !! John and Ellen always doing little projects to make their B&B the best and most "homey" for their visitors. We simply enjoy the atmosphere and their home away from home. Our kids have grown up coming to Vanquility Acres and John and Ellen have become part of our family. The boys all love Ellen's chocolate chip pancakes and breakfast is a must for the them. Simply the BEST !!!

Room Tip: We love the Vanquility Suite ! Homey !

I lived in the cottage for 4 months during an internship in Bedford and I couldn't have been more pleased with my stay. Ellen and John's hospitality were second to none and they were always available to lend a hand with anything I needed. As an elite cyclist I especially loved it here for the cycling terrain; the proximity to the mountains is unbeatable! Speaking of the mountains, the view of the Blue Ridge Mountains from the Vanquility Inn is absolutely breathtaking - especially in October when the leaves are changing. Bedford itself is a charming small town with a nice downtown with shops and great food. I will miss living here, and I hope to stay here again sometime down the road!

In short: wonderful people, unrivaled cycling, and spectacular views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. What's not to love?

The perfect place to stay for a cycling adventure on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Plenty of room and a great Jacuzzi to rehab your legs! Even a room that is perfect for storing rigs. Stayed here 2 years in a row and don't plan on visiting without staying here.

Room Tip: Just ask Ellen.

We visited Natural Bridge drove about 45 mins mostly on Blue Ridge with best fall leaves to here.
It is a 14 year old ranch house built as a B&B, with wonderful views of Peaks of Otter near the nice town of Bedford. Greeted warmly by John and shown around. Our well equipped room had a sun porch enclosed with views. Chilly enjoyed the electric fireplace. Ellen prepared a wonderful breakfast enough to more than get us started. She is a great hostess and innkeeper enjoyed talking with her. We arrived on a Sunday evening not many dining options open in Bedford other than chains, ate at Ruby Tuesday On the road Monday we paid our respects at the Bedford D Day memorial, well worth visiting.

Room Tip: Garden suite with enclosed porch with views of pond, goats and Peaks of Otter.
