I wanted to rate lower but figured I'd be positive...so here goes.

The building is pretty cool, it's architecture is definitely the highlight of the place and got my hopes up. But on the inside, there is not uniformity. I guess with the name Country Store I expected a store atmosphere (like the Mast General Store) I guess this is some warped version of the word.

When you go to this type of store you expect to find unique items and with the exception of a few crafts most item I could find almost anywhere...and at better prices. The upstairs had plenty of space but looked worse than most yard sales I go to. The basement had "food" but was poorly lit and had a musty feeling to it.

The kitchens condition gave me pause but i figured I'd still try a cookie....bad choice....it was really stale. And harder still to get rid of that taste.

Over all I would say save your money and visit the DDAY Memorial or the Peaks of Otter as the both are a better value. For food you have many chain restaurants about another 5 min drive up the road.

Listened to a great band jam and had lots of fun. Interesting things to see and very nice staff. Lots of fun in the heart of center town. Ample parking too. Will do the horse and "carriage" ride next visit.

Every small town needs a country store, and Bedford is blessed with one owned by a nice couple who make the greatest sandwiches on the planet. The store is filled with interesting and lovely furniture, clothing, jewelry, food, and other items of interest. It's a great place to walk around and hang out to get the latest news, eat lunch, and enjoy live music on Fridays. Located right in the middle of downtown Bedford, the store is well-lit, clean and full of reasonably-priced items. Can't recommend it enough as a stopping place for visitors to the town of Bedford!

A mix, of antiques, deli/ice cream counter and garage sale junk. Downstairs also includes local organic produce and meat.
