The unit was clean! Employees were very friendly and helpful!
The floors in our unit were disgusting! Torn vinyl, spotted carpet, bleached carpet and the carpet in general was filthy. I go sock footed and my socks were black in less than a day.

These chalets are funky 1970's ski resort decor. Some things could definitely use upgrading but comfortable beds and very clean. Pool is very nice (salt water) and there are some lovely hikes just a short drive away. Also Shenandoah Caverns is excellent outing.

There are no restaurants to speak of. So plan on buying/bring food supplies. It is 12 miles to the Food Lion grocery store - shop there before coming into resort! You will need basics for cooking, olive oil, salt and pepper, etc. Also bring your own coffee (only a couple of small packets provided) and filters.
Resort does NOT provide laundry detergent (despite the literature handed out) so bring your own. They also only provide very small bars of soap for shower/baths - again bring your own.

We never had this before at any timeshare resort -- departure instructions have you to strip your own beds and put linens on washing machine, take out your trash to dumpsters down the road, and load and run dishwasher. Something to note if you have an early morning deadline. Also, they state very clearly they will not return any items left behind you have to arrange for items to be picked up yourself. None of this was a huge problem, just doesn't seem very hospitable.

Pedestal Unit # 7 is beautifully renovated, clean, quiet, and roomy. Pool and hot tub are in good condition and Bryce Resort is only a 5-10 minute walk or drive away. Access road to unit is *slightly* tricky (moderately steep gravel road) but otherwise no issues. Highly recommended!

Room tip: Pedestal unit #7 was great but also got positive feedback on other units from friends and family (including unit # 5)

Although I didn't like the townhouse setup (no restroom one main floor), the th was comfortable and spacious enough. downstairs door lock and ac presented an issue but was quickly addressed while I was out. If you're a golfer, great location by the greens. Pay attention to directions provided by the resort. GPS directions provide another way to get there and it is even more of a twisty narrow road to travel. I enjoyed my stay and travelling through the region to nearby sights.

From a leisurely weekend to a birthday weekend to a bachelor week to accommodations for a wedding weekend, we found Chalet High the most affordable, clean, inviting accommodations that we have continuously used the past year and a half. Everyone who joined us was overwhelmed at how quaint these condos are. 100% recommend Chalet High!
