Again on our yearly visit the carpet still needs replaced, and the cleaning staff needs to find some pride in doing a good job. For 8 years I would bet the carpet on the main floor has never been professionally cleaned ! (service master or stanley steamer).

The carpet in the master bedroom downstairs is short of the wall by 1 to 2 inches with the sharp nails on the tack strip exposed in the middle of the door to the golf course to easily step on. ( liability)
The exterior is very nice looking and the staff at the pool area are very polite, i would think the entire board of directors should tour and inspect every unit as they they are responsible for managing the site, They would get a true understanding of what the renters are seeing. I can see where this could be some of the reason that some owners want out of the property. So I hope carpet is soon.

We also own weeks in Hilton Head, Virginia Beach, and Gatlinburg and our maintenance fees are close to the same, and these units are in very nice shape.

If you want to get away from busy city life this property is a nice choice and change of pace. The staff was professional, courteous and superlatively helpful.

Although the our unit was older and needed some maintenance (such as some visible water damage to the ceiling), it had an abundance of the essential appliances and had a plethora of space.

We had a great time due to the picturesque, peaceful and quiet nature of the community.

We have been coming to this location for 30 years, and always have a good time. It is nice to get away from the heat of the city, and it is close to Washington, DC. We identified a couple of maintenance issues and they were resolved in less than 5 minutes. A hidden gem.

Room tip: The interior of our unit was a bit dated, but it was clean and very comfortable.

The walls in the kitchen were dirty, the bowls and plates in the cabinets were dirty, the couch had spots on it and there was an overall sense that cleaning was not a priority to the employees. The location was amazing the tub and shower were bright spots in an outdated unit. The DVD player was a VCR combo!! Stuck in the last century? We cleaned the unit ourselves and had a great time otherwise.

Accommodations were decent enough (clean for the most part). Decor is from the 90"s and any repairs were poorly done. Fitness area is a small room and connecting resort is basically for members but you can do a few things long as you wanna pay. Don't think about tennis though...no where to play "unless you are a member"! Chalet High needs to add some activities besides the pool and so called fitness room. Linens were clean but underneath...ewwww...stains on mattresses and pillows! Our unit had holes in the 3rd bedroom door and repairs that were half done on the ceiling. Basically clean but could be better. Very OUT OF THE WAY resort...plan on lots of driving to get to anything! It was a nice few days but we most likely won't go back! Bryce Resort is w/in walking distance but everything costs...Copper Kettle restaurant is very good and pleasant folks working there too. Some units have been renovated (some only outside and others in and out) we were in an old unit and over 70% of the units were empty...

Room tip: Clean the units more thoroughly, check the mattresses they need to be replaced as well as the pillows...
