“Took a Chance”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

Was in Winooski and needed something to eat, so happened to stop into the Mule Bar. Excellent selection of craft beers and excellent food. The cauliflower soup was to die for and the house salad was also excellent with various fresh, greens, and a lovely, not overbearing vinaigrette. The service was also great. The atmoshpere was crisp and clean, and relaxing. Very impressed and would highly recommend.

“Great beer and service”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

Went here on a Friday night after the VT Brewers Festival, they had many of the beers on tap that I had at the Festival. We were too late to get food from the kitchen, but they did have a late night menu and the two dishes we had were delicious. Great people watching outside looking over the river and the traffic circle. The servers were courteous and knowledgeable.

“Great!”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

Winooski definitely needed this place. The draft list is fantastic and the food is pretty decent. The way they do outside seating is a little odd - "first come" turns into whoever hovers closest to the door gets a table first even if a more polite person has been waiting 20 minutes longer.

“Great place near Burlington, VT”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

While visiting Burlington, the very friendly folks at the Switchback Brewery tasting pub told us about the Mule Bar. What a great tip. This is a small but beautifully restored space in the old mill town of Winooski. They have an impressive array of craft beers on tap, nice wine list, wonderful cheese and charcuterie selections and good daily menu. Sleek and modern but very warm and welcoming space. Hip but not hipster....

“Craft beer in the heart of Winooski”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

This is a new place so I am starting them at a 4-star review. If it's just as good when I go back, and I get a chance to try the brunch, I will up them to a 5-star review.

They have an impressive 16-tap craft beer selection with a focus on Vermont beers. You can get 1/2 sizes for all the 16 oz. pours even though this is not stated anywhere. It has a chill, modern feel inside. The music playlist was awesome and the clientele was fairly diverse age wise. A good call if you are in the area or post brunch at Sneakers.
