This place is truly wonderful. As a frequent traveler, it's rare to have this kind of experience. Immaculate. Wonderfully decorated. Extremely knowledgeable and warm staff. And best of all, as the former home of Max Perkins (famous Scribner editor credited to nurturing the careers of Ernest Hemingway and F. Scott Fitzgerald among others), there's a terrific creative energy about the place. Five stars.

The people at the Snapdragon have done such a thoughtful and wonderful job in preserving this heritage building's fascinating history (as the house of Hemingway's long-time editor) and combining it with new and modern amenities. There's style and class in every little detail. The Inn has a deeply relaxing energy to it and the service is second-to-none. I only wish I had more time to stay here. I'd recommend it to anyone.

One of the most relaxing, comfortable stays of my life. As the lone occupant, I felt unworthy of the luxury of the room. But the most important thing was the attitude of the owner... instantly felt like a friend. I've found myself trying to design excuses to revisit Windsor.

Room was immaculate - bathroom had heated floors - that was awesome. Some sort of aromatherapy going on in there which was really relaxing. Beautiful living room area which was nice for after dinner warmup in front on the wood stove. Breakfast was fresh and hearty. Owners even tracked down a pair of snowshoes for me from someone in there family. I will be coming back. Thanks Snapdragon!

My husband and I love, love LOVED the Snapdragon Inn! We had been anticipating our stay for quite some time and it more than lived up to our expectations. Not only was our room cozy, inviting, beautifully decorated, and immaculate, the innkeepers accommodating and attentive, and the bathroom floors oh-so-luxuriously heated, but the Inn itself is tucked away in one of the most peaceful, beautiful, and diverting places you will find in New England, no matter what the season! I am already looking forward to my next stay.
