“Home away from home!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 12, 2012

The Wilmington Inn's website lives up to its word. The house itself is absolutely beautiful and slightly tucked away from the road. The service was exceptional, and it was nice to see the owners working alongside their staff. Everyone was so cordial. The Inn is conveniently located in town within walking distance of shopes and pubs. I highly recommend staying here for a romantic getaway! Don't forget to pick up some maple syrup while you're at it!

We really enjoyed the one night we stayed. John and Rachel were great hosts. The restaurant was closed on the night we stayed but there are several nice places within walking distance for dinner and or drinks. The best thing I can say is that we would like to come back again.

The food was exceptional, the service outstanding! I would not only eat here again: I would stay here based on the hospitality of everyone! Everyone was outstanding. Unfortunately, I was staying at a horrible B&B but plan to stay here the next time I am in VT. Ask for Robin when you are on this property as she is the most pleasant and fun person ever!

We chose the Wilmington Inn on a whim as it was within 30 minutes of the ziplining and other outdoor adventures we had planned for the weekend. We couldn't have been happier with our choice. We were within walking distance of downtown Wilmington which boasts several bars/restaurants and has a friendly, local feel. The Inn also has their own farm-to-table restaurant that was absolutely amazing. On top of that, John is an excellent bartender and Rachel is the hostess with the most-ess. Thanks again John and Rachel, we hope to be back soon!

Our family recently reserved us a room at this Inn. We had an excellent stay in the suite. It had a beautiful deck, fireplace and whirlpool tub. It was walking distance to many shops. Breakfast was also excellent! The chef was out sick and we were offered an abbreviated menu. It was so delicious that we couldn't imagine how good the food would be with their regular menu. We hope to spend more time there again soon!

The Inn was beautiful, the rooms comfortable, the location perfect, and the experience wonderful. We had two rooms at the Inn, one of which was a suite. (When you come, get the suite as it is well worth it and very romantic!) The rooms are beautifully decorated and maintained. The gardens surrounding the property are beautiful and with the downtown location you can easily go anywhere in Wilmington, travel to Dover (Mt. Snow), or to Bennington/New York. The owners are very welcoming and you feel like you are staying with family rather than with strangers. John was able to provide information on what was going on in the area and sought to make sure you really enjoyed your stay. We had breakfast the next morning where John and his family waited on us. Breakfast was yummy! Great coffee (a must), vegetable scrambled eggs, french toast or stuffed french toast, bacon or sausage--great! We will definately return to the Inn next year!

The suite is the best room I have ever seen or stayed at. Really romantic and its in the middle of downtown Wilmington. Of all the hotels in that area, this is the best maintained and by far, the friendliest. There really is no substitute.

Room Tip: Any room is a good room! The beds are just so comfortable!
