“Chef is personable and really cares; yummy burger!”
Reviewed February 18, 2012

This restaurant is right in our backyard. We've tried it with previous chefs, but it now has a very caring (and obviously talented) chef. Shawn (Sean?) comes out and visits diners, authentically thanking us for coming and asking/answering questions. A treat to be able to give input right to "the man." The burgers are perfect. The chicken and dumplings are my wife's favorite, and there are other great choices as well. The service is sometimes very good and sometimes average. If parking looks packed, just turn right out of the driveway, turn right again (entrance to the middle school), and then turn right again so that you're behind Monty's. You cross a small bridge over a wet area and you're there = easier parking than directly next to the restaurant. There is outdoor seating during the warm months, and the stonework is impressive. Can't say the view is good, but you're there for the food and company, right? I would recommend this place instead of all the chains that are around (Longhorn, 99, Chili's, Friendly's) = food is high quality, and you're supporting local people.

“a surefire place for creative, good food”
Reviewed February 8, 2012

The chef usually comes out to check in and I always pump him for cooking ingredients and technique.....just delicious, quick delivery, great beer selection.... wish they were open later, but understand they have slow nights and are more a restaurant than a bar.

“Nice brunch”
Reviewed January 10, 2012

Brunch on Sunday runs 10 to 2. The food was tasty and well cooked but service could have been a little more careful. We got what we paid for but nothing more.

“What a nice surprise”
Reviewed January 6, 2012

We totally found this place via a Tripadvisor search. Though we live nearby in Burlington and had heard the name once or twice we never really gave it much thought. To be honest I have been very disappointed in quality of pub food in Vermont. There are very few places you can get quality food and quality beer in a warm and inviting place. This is one of those places, located in old town Williston, VT, this place is terrific. It has been said before on this site but you must get the butternut squash soup...It would make Homer drool.

Cheers!

“Great Relaxing Place With Excellent Food and Service”
Reviewed August 23, 2011

This place is a good place to go for excellent food. I had the Pork Calzone which was very flavorful and I had a Cup of their sweet potato Spice Soup which is very tasty with interesting flavors. Overall the server was very knowledgeable and checked on you often. I highly recommend this place if your in the area.
