This restaurant is right in our backyard. We've tried it with previous chefs, but it now has a very caring (and obviously talented) chef. Shawn (Sean?) comes out and visits diners, authentically thanking us for coming and asking/answering questions. A treat to be able to give input right to "the man." The burgers are perfect. The chicken and dumplings are my wife's favorite, and there are other great choices as well. The service is sometimes very good and sometimes average. If parking looks packed, just turn right out of the driveway, turn right again (entrance to the middle school), and then turn right again so that you're behind Monty's. You cross a small bridge over a wet area and you're there = easier parking than directly next to the restaurant. There is outdoor seating during the warm months, and the stonework is impressive. Can't say the view is good, but you're there for the food and company, right? I would recommend this place instead of all the chains that are around (Longhorn, 99, Chili's, Friendly's) = food is high quality, and you're supporting local people.
