As other reviewers have stated, the Coolidge is very old. The floors creak, which I like. Everything is well maintained and extremely clean. The decor is outdated and very plain. The fixtures, carpets, and furniture are from another era- but again very well maintained. I don’t know if I would stay here again but it is a great value. We had no issues with noise and did not hear any trains.

Individual, quirky Vermont hotel. Not a cookie cutter place. Not a chain. Clean and comfy. A little out of date, but very pleasant. Only one elevator, which is very slow. Victorian in style. If you like sterile, corporate hotels, this will not suit, but if you like non-homogenized Americana, this will be the place for you.

The Hotel Coolidge was absolutely amazing! Such a unique piece of history and a great old timey (yet clean and up to date) atmosphere. We received a voucher for a cafe next door which had delicious and quick cheap eats. I loved walking around the town and watching the train go by (which I couldn't hear from my room) and there is parking as well. I highly recommend it and would go back in a heart beat.

Stayed on First Friday.Hotel was clean neat and historical. Linked room so everyone had their own double bed. Fridge but microwave would have been nice even if in lobby. 6 Staff was kind and helpful. Food and shops galore walking distance. Will stay for next clinic.

The Hotel Coolidge is a remnant of a different time and shows some of its age. However, White River Junction and Lebanon, NH are experiencing rebirths and it is hoped that the Hotel Coolidge will be part of the upswing. The staff is very friendly, the hotel is a charmingly quirky, and the rooms are very clean. AND the price is great. A really good value close to much of the Upper Valley

Room tip: choose an inner room if noise is a factor

Thanks so much for your four star review. The Hotel Coolidge, as a cornerstone institution in downtown WRJ, is an integral part of the renaissance that the area has seen in the past 25 years or so. The downtown has numerous great shops, stores, restaurants, the Briggs Opera House, Northern Stage, a pop-up local vendors market at Newberry Market on Thursdays--a great place to stay for a night or a week! Thanks for staying with us, and for taking the time to write a review!
