If you want a slice of history, served up with a concierge that is straight out of the Grand Budapest Hotel, this is your spot! The front desk will facilitate your stay in this charming and historical town of White River Junction. The town looks like a block of Williamsburg, Brooklyn teleported into 1890's Vermont, resulting in the perfect blend of Steam locomotives, Asian fusion cafe's and hand-crafted goods, with a college of cartoonistry thrown in for good measure. The Hotel Coolidge is nestled in the center of this delightful universe. My suite had two bathrooms, one with a tub, a cupboard-kitchen with sink fridge and microwave, dishes et al, and ample space so that when three of my dear family stopped by with take-out food, there was ample room to entertain. A great time was had by all! And spend some time examining the carefully curated historical artifacts within the hotel. Charming!

This is a great place! White River Junction has become quite cosmopolitan in the last decade. There are 8 notable restaurants with in 2 blocks, and a cafe right in the lobby. In a quirky Vermont kind of way and the Coolidge fits right in. This is a vintage building with lots of Character. I spent six weeks here and found it to be a safe harbor. Many Kudos to the housekeeping staff, these folks do a yo mans work every day. Don't for get to tip them they've earned it.

Room tip: Get a room on the front of the building.

Hi Robert--thanks for your very kind four-star review, and for highlighting two important aspects of the Hotel--our long-term stay section for professionals in transition, and our Housekeeping Staff. The Housekeepers are among the hardest-working people that I have ever met. They take enormous pride in their work, and we would be truly lost without them.

I'm glad that our Long-term stay option worked out for you. Thanks for staying with us!

If you like shiny and modern hotels, this may not be for you. But if you like clean, charming, a nice staff, and a cool neighborhood with good restaurants, then you'll love the Hotel Coolidge. We have stayed there twice in 3 months for 3 days each and have really enjoyed our stay both times.

Room tip: Room 102 is in a corner -- quaint and charming. Just beware the heater that wakes up every morning, but it was otherwise quiet.

My wife and I went to VT to check on our cabin that was closed for the winter. My wife found the hotel and we booked our weekend there.
We arrived late but had no problems he checking in. We were given a King suite. It had a large bedroom and a separate living room. 2 bathrooms.
Overall the hotel is dated but not in a negative way. It had a very nice charm to it. The room was very comfortable and clean.
We will definitely stay there again next winter.

The bedroom was great with five beds and two baths plus a couch. A getaway AND an inexpensive place to crash for five ‘girls’ attending a birthday party down the street. Rented this for my daughter and her friends. Not sure of a lot of details, but they said they loved the place.
