Visited this store with my wife, daughter, son-in-law and two children, 4 and 5.
It is an amazing place and full of temptations everywhere. It is truly a
destination store. If you like country and old fashioned stuff you won't be
disappointed even if you travel a distance.
They find and sell food products you can't readily find elsewhere. Does the
name Postum mean anything to you? You can buy it there.
They also have fragrances, perfumes and after shaves that are rare nowadays.
Does the name Evening in Paris mean anything to you? You can buy it there.
Plus they have loads of old fashioned toys, including jack-in-the-box, tinker toys;
all kinds of treasures. Warning: The kids may overpower you here.
One word of advice. Bring plenty of money. NOTHING is inexpensive there.
Down a few stairs or a ramp is the cheese and jelly section. It is a sampler's
paradise. There were so many things to try, I didn't need lunch afterwards!
However, if you do feel the need to "fill the void" there is a snack bar across
the yard adjoining a shed with tables. Rustic but fun.
One more thing. There is a "sale" or budget area on the second floor, but I
thought everything looked trashy - the stuff nobody wanted to buy. My opinion!
