“Great stay and resting place after a great week of skiing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2012

The beds were comfortable although the bathroom could have been improved with a bit more updating, it was relaxing however and their was a great bar with a Pool table to go and unwind and great food in the evening. Had a great time skiing at mount snow and I recommend it to all skiers especially novices such as myself as there were great instructors even if they were not your instructor or you didn't have an instructor they were always willing to help. This has been an experience that I never shall forget and would love to go back one day.

We booked this trip as part of a golf and stay package with Mount Snow resort. We booked on price and we got what we paid for. The building is a bit rundown and the towels are worn. However the staff was very pleasant, our breakfast was made to order the first day (a week day). The second day we selected from serving trays and again the food was great and generous. There is a bar on-site but it is closed during the summer. Since a king deluxe room was avaiable, we were upgraded at no addition cost. My only complaint was we did not get any room service with fresh towel on our second day. My summary is this is a cheap, clean hotel with a very good breakfast.

The owners of the Lodge at Mt. Snow are very friendly, and cook a great breakfast! As others reviewers have said, the walls are thin, but the price that we paid reflects that it isn't a perfect inn. They have great amenities, including a hot tub, a pool, a game room, a bar, and a dining room. They also offer free wifi. If nothing else, go for the great and free hot breakfast!

I booked this hotel after reading all the horrible reviews only because everywhere else was booked. And boy were they right! Very noisy, the floors squeak with every step. The walls are paper thin. It is in bad need of a complete renovation. The staff was nice. The bar and arcade area were convenient. The kids thought it was the greatest place ever! Close to the mountain and lots of restaurants around. The breakfast was average. Don't think I would go back.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the upper level. It will be quieter.

Thank you for your comments. It was a busy week with lots of groups and families milling about making lots of noise having fun after a day on the slopes. My apologies if your were looking for a quiet getaway. Next time you may want to book one of the B&B's in the area. They can cater to your need for quiet.

Located on free shuttle route to Mt Snow resort, so it takes 5-10min to get to the slopes. Great location!

Rooms are ok. 2 double beds, small fridge, coffee maker. Old but clean. Very noisy! You can hear everyone tromping about in ski boots. Pet-friendly...can hear neighbors little barking dog, so ask for room away from pets.

Staff is friendly and accommodating. Nonsmoking property.

Restaurant and bar located on property. Hot breakfast included in price. Saturday night has free après ski party with great free munchies. Restaurant food is really good- best fries! Bar has wood fireplace, pool table, foozball and arcade games and is kid-friendly. Great beer selection. So parents can relax with a drink while kids play within sight.

Indoor hot tub, gym, and outdoor
pool(closed in winter). Board games and books available to borrow.

We made a reservation for a King Bed Mountain View Room. When we got there we were shown to a room facing the highway on the first floor. When I wen to the front desk I got a snippy response that "I don't see anything about Mountain View". When I showed the woman at the desk the confirmation, her tuned changed and she said "JIm overbooked and should have told you when you made the reservation." She called JIm, the owner, who without any apology says "Which is more important mountain view or King Bed?" I told him "Mountain View". We were given a key to a room with a full bed and a bunkbed. We stayed as this was a gift for my wife and I didn't want to make a big deal of it. This place is old, dirty, and loud. There is no way anyone could give this place more than 3 stars. I give it two stars rather than one mostly because the location is convenient and most of the staff was very nice. If you are looking for a nice place to stay, move on to another location. Please make this review helpful if you are not going to stay here because of this review because I want the owner to see how not honoring a reservation will impact future business. Happy travels.

Room Tip: Dont accept a view of the highway. You will see nothing and hear the road.

Just returned from a mid-week (4-nite) stay (sun-thurs) at the lodge with Mom (nonskier). I would rate cleanliness at excellent overall. Mom is good at finding the spiders, etc and we saw none! Our Superior King room at end of hall was away from any noise at stairs. We enjoyed the good hot breakfast and large room with micro/frig. The lounge/dining area are in a separate building reached by a elevated walkway/hall. Recommendations: Put a pad between under the microwave and frig. The microwave slides all over the frig with the slightest touch (even to open the door). Add a mirror to the bedroom area over table (one in bathroom is not enough with two+ guests). Firmer pillows would be nice and a grip on wall of bathtub would be nice for older guests. And please throw some gravel or salt on the icy steps outside lobby (a risky area for falls). Live music (low) on a tuesday nite ended around 1015pm so not a problem. Overall, this lodge is a good value for a village-based ski hotel. The Moo bus delivers skiers to/from base on a 15-30 min schedule. Overall we had a good time and I will return again.

Room Tip: Pick one at end of hall.
