“Really, really great”
Reviewed November 1, 2013

All of the rooms look nice but make a point of getting one of the recently renovated ones if possible - very charming and great design. The fall drive up along the Mohawk Trail was fantastic. Staff was super-accommodating; we were there with our 3-month old son and they even secured a little private room for us for dinner so we wouldn't worry about disturbing the other diners. We were skeptical about eating there, but the food was outstanding. Go nowhere else for dinner! Beautiful grounds, nice little river behind the house. Really can't say enough - definitely heading back.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the Ramsey-renovated rooms.

We booked Layla's because of the dog kennel and it offers so much more! Beautiful rooms, great location and AMAZING food.
It was such a pleasure to be able to kennel the dogs during the day and bring them "home" to your room at night. The staff had dog bowls and dog beds ready in our room.
We had a fabulous dinner at Layla's. Poutine, Pot pie and Molten cake were amazing! My husband had the farm NY steak and blueberry fruit crumble. Best fruit crumble he has ever had. Even the coffee was perfect! Amazing food and great service. Staff were laid back and we like that type of service. Layla is a sweetheart and will visit you often if she knows you are a dog lover. If you love dogs and enjoy their company, this place is perfect for you. Will be back!!!

If you are looking for a great breakfast, Dot's is just up the road.

The Inn hosts Sandy and Kevin were great and made us feel at home. Food was great, rooms nice, bathrooms very clean. We're animal lovers and enjoyed having Laila the Inn's English Setter around. Vermont is one of our favorite places and will definitely go back to The Four Seasons Inn!

We arrived at the Inn on a Living Sicial deal which included a Queen bed, full bath, TV, wood stove in room, fresh flowers and a tiny bottle of maple syrup. Stayed 2 nights for $165.00 - incredible deal! The room was a bit weird. Room 6 has no closet but a bar with hangers next to bed, and lights behind the bed weren't great for reading. Bath very good with jacuzzi tub, but the jets weren't working. We were not shown how to turn on the gas fireplace and not to touch the thermostat, so the first night we were cold sleeping. The next a.m. Kevin said the boiler was out& that the repairman would be in to fix it. Done when we got back from skiing. Hot tubs were a nice way to end our last nights stay. Unfortunately, the next a.m. , we got a coffee to drink, but we're told by Owner that the kitchen was closed.
I manage an Inn and see the need here for a bit of improvements.

I visited the Inn in a Livingsocial weekend ski escape to Mount Snow with some friends. The offer was pretty cheap so we were not expecting much. There's a BYOB policy and they don't make any fuss.

The good:
we were pleasantly surprised, the inn is very beautiful, with nice grounds, a couple common areas to chill out and 2 hot tubs. The room was nice and very clean, with trunk beds that looked pretty new and a wonderful bathroom with a jacuzzi and great water pressure. The included breakfast was also good (eggs, bacon, croissants, pancakes)

The not-so-great:
the included buffet dinner and lunch were not very good. The a la carte dinner was slow (one of the tables waited for an hour and a half) and pretty bad. There's a dog, she didn't bother me, she is very nice, clean and sweet but some people didn't like her wandering around the dining area and asking for food.

The unforgivable:
All the above would have been OK, because the inn is clean and beautiful and they really let you hang around freely and are quite nice, but when it's well below freezing outside, you need a warm place to come back to. This was not the case. The first night none of us could sleep because it was too cold in the room. Next day, we told the owner, who came to our room (which was very cold) and said that the thermostat was set @ 68ºF and we couldn't change it. He said some stuff about we paying a price that didn't let him heat up the place, because he would loose money or something. He also said that we had all the available blankets and he couldn't give us any extra.
Well, you just can't go to a ski lodge were you need to sleep in you ski clothes and keep you Winter coat on while you have dinner.
It's a real pity because all the rest was great, just this one CRUCIAL detail spoiled the weekend.

I stayed here while visiting Mount Snow which is only a couple minutes away. It was a very enjoyable and cozy place! The rooms were just what I expected. Not very big, but comfortable and clean. I'm sure there are many different sized rooms in the place but since I went on a Living Social deal we all had preset room assignments. The innkeepers Sandy and Kevin are very friendly and know a lot about the area and skiing/snowboarding. The food was good too! Would go back.

We stayed at the Four Seasons Inn on a living social deal this past weekend and it was great. We stayed in king size room which was clean and the bed was comfortable. The innkeeper Sandy was a wealth of knowledge on where to go and what to do and was very generous in accommodating us. The cook Kevin was also very helpful. Great place for a get away to the snow if you like a place with a homely feel, great people and pet friendly.
