My husband and I expected standard pub fare when we walked in, and were incredibly surprised and satisfied with the interesting, high quality fare. There are also standard pub options (burgers, fish and chips, etc.), though we didn't make it back to try them. Prices were a little higher than expected (similar to what we'd pay back in Boston), but the quality of food matched the price.

Very impressed with the top dishes. Did not try the burgers but hear they are delicious. Could not ask for higher quality, friendlier staff and attention to details. Can hang out in bar area or go straight to the restaurant. Only stayed one night, if we stayed longer we would have come back to try other dishes on the menu.

We participated in the Green Mountain Adventure Challenge and came to the tavern to "refresh" each night. The food was excellent and the bartender Greg made the experience so much better, with his great personality!

We had a great dinner in the bar area of the 1846 Tavern. The bartender is funny and friendly, and explained to us the reason there are playing cards tacked to the ceiling. Great food, local musicians, lots of fun!

My wife and I stop here frequently for lunch or an early dinner in the tavern. We've never stayed at the inn, so I can't comment on that, but the people here are incredibly welcoming and nice, and the food is consistently excellent. You can tell that the chef takes pride in what he does - the menu isn't huge with a bunch of things that taste the same. Plus the bar chairs are SUPER comfortable, which is always nice after skiing or hiking :)

We've brought a lot of friends and family here as well, and they all love it. Definitely a place you should try if you haven't yet, you'll enjoy it!
