“Great addition to town”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

We finally made it to Blue Stone last night (Wednesday) for my birthday. We were very pleasantly surprised! First of all it looks and smells so much better/cleaner/fresher/newer than the restaurant that was there before. And the person that comes to welcome us is Regan from the Alchemist, so we are feeling right at home already! Service was fast and very friendly. The beer list is a bit small so the addition of a few good local beers would be wonderful, but good to see Heady Topper on the list. The food is just outstanding and reasonably priced, just what Waterbury needs! I am torn between rating 4 or 5 just because I would love to see a better beer selection, but all else is 5 stars! I think this may become our new hangout!

“Great food & good place to meet friends”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

Have been several times since opening, innovative pizzas, tasty salads and last weekend we tried the burgers and wraps and were not disappointed. Prices are very reasonable, bar and waitstaff attentive and friendly. Is becoming our new favorite hangout and a welcome addition to Waterbury.

“something for everyone”
Reviewed February 7, 2013

I am so excited to have found this place, it's something for everyone! My fiance and I had just gotten engaged earlier in the day and we were looking for somewhere to celebrate, we actually had driven by trying to decide if we wanted pizza to be our celebration dinner, but after driving around a little, we decided to give it a go. The atmosphere is friendly, you walk in to an open dining room lay out (with take out in the back), you would almost expect it to be a 'swanky' pizza place from the outside but it's not once you get in there... everyone is there for the great food, drink, and service. Our waitress was really friendly, the food... oh man, being from the NJ/NY area, Pizza is our thing and they say it's in the water, well if it is, they have the same water here! And, like i said, the atmosphere was great... there were people obviously on a date, some skiers having 'apres ski' meals at the bar and everyone just seemed to genuinely enjoying it. I honestly can't wait to go back... well after writing this, i think i want to see if they're open for breakfast!

“Pizza Fun”
Reviewed December 23, 2012

We've been to Blue Stone twice and had a good experience both times. We went early for dinner so didn't have to wait for a table for 4. Another time at lunch we sat right down with 6 people. The service is good, staff is friendly, the dining room is pleasant and clean. The menu has a variety of pizza, burgers and calzones. The beer list fairly extensive and interesting. The pizza is thinner more like a flatbread so it's not doughy - just good and fresh. I ordered a half salad and was surprised at the generous size and amount of ingredients. It's a good place to meet friends, appropriate for families and folks of all ages. They also have take out. Everything is reasonably priced.
