We just wandered for a late lunch (drawn by the delicious smells emanating from the front door) and were extremely happy we did. They have a tremendous selection of local brews on tap, and the smoked meats are amazing. We all had sandwiches (pork and brisket) which were delicious, and the duck fat fries were to. die. for. I thought my son was going to lick his plate! Service was friendly and helpful. One suggestion: even though the servers explain the 4 sauces on the table, it would help to label the bottles, because they all look the same, especially after a couple of those delicious microbrews.

We loved prohibition pig! Imaginative menu with local fare...a wonderful surprise! The Mac n cheese was superb! The drink list was extensive, with unique choices. I wish we lived near Prohibition Pig!

We had some time before a school concert and decided to have an early dinner at the Prohibition Pig. It smelled so good when we walked in - smoky BBQ scents - and my mouth was watering. It's got such a great vibe - exposed wood and break, great decor and a very friendly hostess. Our server was also very nice and attentive early on. As the place began filling up, it was harder and harder to get her attention and we had to rely on another server to track our server down several times. The food was actually really good. We were a party of four - we ordered the pork buns, chicken n biscuits and Pork sandwiches. We started with the pickled veggies and duck fat fries. Everything came out hot and within reasonable time. We do appreciate the server explaining their sauces to us - all 4 times! (we think she was distracted with other tables, and must have forgotten what she said to us previously). Unfortunately, it was about 5pm - and not all the tables were full - so we aren't really sure what to make of the inconsistent service. We will definitely give it another chance because the food was much better than the service.

We had to stop by and check out what the hype is all about. Quite busy for lunch on a beautiful Saturday - no tables available so we decided to sit at the bar. We had the Chopped Pork BBQ sandwich and the Fish sandwich. They were ok but lacking flavour and way too small for the price. Allagash White and Crop Brewery Dunkel - both excellent choices on tap. Bartender service was excellent.

We wanted to try their own ale, but unfortunately they were out. They do have an extensive list of other beers to try. Service was good, prompt and polite. The food was good. I had truffle mac and cheese. it was very filling, and good even when left over. My husband got the pulled pork sandwich; he liked the taste, but was slightly dry. If we are ever in Vermont again, we would go back. The Atmosphere was inviting.
