Stayed at this hotel for the second time in 4 months while visiting family in the area. Both times we experienced a very clean, well located hotel. Nice staff, comfortable accomodations and perfect for our two year old grandson. Indoor pool, hot tub, game room, large rec room with big screen TV, very good complimentary breakfast. Top it off with a playground and pretty grounds for walking or enjoying the outdoor weather. Wouldn't recommend for couples looking for a quiet retreat--much more suited for traveling families.

Definitely will stay here again! Staff was helpful and friendly, room was very clean and comfortable. Pool area was very clean! It has a nice arcade, gym and family room with large screen TV. Continental breakfast had alot of options: cereal, fruit, pastries, bagels, english muffins, coffee, juice. and you can order breakfast (for a fee) if you want, its eggs any style, home fries and bacon or sausage. Oh and there is a covered bridge out back! Just beautiful...

We had the opportunity to stay in Vermont on two separate weekends in November and loved Vermont dearly. It's a beautiful state.

Our first weekend was spent at Best Western in Waterbury. On the plus side, the Hotel is very clean and super staff.

On the negative side, we discovered that there is no elevator which makes it really tough to have to carry heavy suitcases up stairs and down the hall. Never really thought to ask if they had an elevator until we were carrying our stuff inside. Big mistake that we'll not make again.

Breakfast needs a big improvement. For the high price we paid, they should offer a more complete breakfast with some hot food like other top of the line hotels do. Might make travelers more willing to stay there when word gets out about the breakfast.

Speaking of food, we did use their restaurant and that food was fine but the cost was quite pricey. My husband joked that for that price, the food must have been lined with gold.

If we had to stay again, we might, with a few changes next time.

Just an average stay but the hotel does not have an elevator meaning beware if you're scheduled for a second floor room and have a heavy bag.

Also, the heater in my room sounded like a train running through the room. I buried my head in pillows to sleep better.

On the positive side, try the beer at the The Alchemist Pub And Brewery. It's good!

We stayed here this past weekend, one night with our teenage son and the next with just my spouse. The first night we stayed in a two double-bed room and the next we transferred to a junior suite to spend a little quality time with each other.

The first room was adequate for our needs and since we were going to bed early we basically needed a room that was clean and quiet which was exactly what we had. The iron and ironing board was bottom of the line, but if I owned the hotel I wouldn't provide a better one, someone would steal it. We had a Keurig coffee maker and were able to get half and half and all the extra coffee we wanted from the front desk when we asked.

The junior suite was very romantic and had a gas fireplace, refrigerator and in-room safe, the iron and ironing board were a little better. The two armchairs opened up to small twin beds and we were able to open them and prop up some pillows to watch TV in comfort without having to go to bed.

The public facilities were nice. The pool is good for a nice float, not for lap swimming. The work out room is adequate and well stocked with extra towels. There are lockers and showers with plenty of towels available. There are two sauna rooms. all of the facilities were spotless. Whoever is in charge of the cleaning staff needs to be congratulated on a job well done.

Now for my one complaint, and rmember that I am keeping in mind that this is a Best Western not a more expensive hotel. The restaurant is very expensive for what they are offering, including drink prices. Just down the road are better restaurants and pubs with more and better choices. The breakfast opens far too late in the morning, 6AM on weekdays, 7AM on weekends. Given the distances one has to drive in Vermont to do business, I would think that breakfast should begin at least one hour earlier.

All in all, the best place to stay for your monies' worth in a 30 mile radius.

Rooms were comfortable and beds were great. Free "continental" breakfast was loaded - waffle maker, cereal, juice, several coffee flavors, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, milk, and more. Only downer was the dirty carpet in the halls and in our room - needed a good cleaning. But the eating area was clean and well kept during our breakfast. Very nice pool and exercise area, plus large lounging area with big screen TV. Tennis court and covered bridge over a stream. Paid $95 plus tax. Didn't use the restaurant. Would recommend to my friends if in the area.

We enjoyed our five day stay at the Best Western in Waterbury. The room was nothing special, however, it was clean and the service was good. We frequently took advantage of the continental breakfast which was great. Vermont is expensive and the free breakfast helps a lot. The location was ideal being between Burlington and Stowe. The only negative was no elevator and we had to drag our suitcases up two flights of stairs.
