Owner description: From local residents to tourists, the Green Mountain Coffee® Cafe and Visitor welcomes all guests to the Historic Waterbury Train Station. After a complete refresh of the interior in the summer of 2016, the landmark uniquely celebrates Green Mountain Coffee and the great state of Vermont. Adorned with photography taken by employees during the company’s annual Employee Source Trips to coffee growing regions, visitors are invited to wander through the rich, 35-year history of Green Mountain Coffee®, take part in hands-on education about specialty coffee and the roasters’ award-winning coffees, and enjoy one of the staff’s coffee creations in the lounge, from artfully pulled espresso to decadent Pecan Pie Supreme. The Cafe is also the only retail store where visitors can find rare Green Mountain Coffee® blends like Tanzanian Gombe Reserve, and also mix-and-match their own variety packs from 48 different Green Mountain Coffee® K-Cup® pod varieties in the Keurig® Singles kiosk.

I LOVE GM coffee and was excited to stop and see where my favorite brew came from and hoped to be able to find some new flavors. Self guided mini tour was just ok. I thought they might let you sample different coffees but all products had to be purchased.

Luckily we were in Waterbury and did not go out of the way for this. Place is in a old train station that was the only cool thing about it. Small area to tell you about their coffee, a small café with overpriced items.

Even though there was no entry charge here I felt it was just a place where they tried to sell you overpriced food and coffee. They have restrooms and a good selection of leaflets, but I didn't feel that it was worth stopping.

The welcome lady made our visit - she had answers to all our questions, added local information and facts to our tour - she suggested a maple coffee drink which we all ordered in the café and gave us samples - what a fun stop!

Learned little to nothing here. Its basically a Starbucks with over priced coffee you can get down the street for much less. If you are looking for a bathroom and a free shot 'sample' of coffee and you are in the neighborhood, this is a perfect stop.
