Owner description: For all the euphoric flavors you can't get enough of – especially the ones you can't get in ordinary stores – nobody scoops Ben & Jerry's better than we do at our scoop shops.

So going on a Thursday in March is the perfect time to go there were very few people and we walked in and got right in on a tour that was just starting. Its a great story how Ben and Jerry's got started and all the work they do locally for the community as well as globally. You learn all about this on your tour. You start off with a film that gives you the history of the beginnings and what they are doing now. Afther that you proceed to viewing windows to look in at production. Our guide was very personable and enthusiastic and really seemed to enjoy his job. He answered all questions that were asked and gave out tons of information. After that you go into a tasting room and have some ice cream. I would definitely recommend stopping by especially if you love ice cream!!! BTW they have all the flavors available to purchase in a cup or cone (waffle or sugar).

It was a small crowd for the tour, which was great, and it was a real factory, not a ride (like Hershey). We enjoyed the free sample. We also went up to the graveyard of retired flavors, and really enjoyed the epitaphs they wrote. Some were really funny! Of course, we also stopped at the on-site scoop shop, conveniently at the end of the tour, and the gift shop, for the tee shirt, which you can get "free" if you purchase a package deal.

Me and my boyfriend stopped by on our way from New Hampshire to Burlington, a great little tour, short but sweet! No pun intended. Loved the free sample and we thought $4 was really reasonable.

You're near Waterbury and you've heard about this forever so you'll go, just as we did. The tour is quick, a bit cheesy and ends with an ice cream sample. If you don't run out the door as soon as you get your sample, you'll get to eat whatever's left. Otherwise, you'll be first on line to buy even more ice cream (everyone seems to buy more ice cream.) The grave yard is cute.

Would definitely recommend a short stop here if you're in the area. It's a nice break for an hour or so, especially if you've been driving for several hours. The tour is just 30 minutes (and cheap), and you get to see the actual working factory. There's a short film discussing the history and philosophy of the company, with a taste testing at the end. We got to try the Razzleberry flavor. There's also a gift shop and a place that serves there usual flavors as well.
