This was my 2nd stay here. Both were great. The first was 4-5 years ago, and the hotel itself and the experience have not waned a bit. The 2 stays were very different (the first with a large group of friends in a multi-bedroom condo in summer (brewfest was great!) and this time a solo trip for skiing in winter). The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. There is a nice hutch to house your ski gear as you enter the room. The only minor negative in the room is that the doors on the armoire that houses the TV do not open all the way, so you must watch from the center of the bed. The location of the hotel is perfect, rooms couldn't be closer to the lifts and amenities. The ski valet makes getting around a so much easier. My room this time had a view of the pool and mountain. Food in the restaurant was very good. The ski service (waxing, sharpening) did a great job. Reception was friendly and quick - both in and out. The young doorman seemed a little preoccupied (i was in and out several times and he rarely got the door for me, although he was standing there) - but he certainly didn't damage the experience. This is a great place and in my mind is the only choice for this ski area. PS the skiing was phenomenal.

Room Tip: having a view of the mountain was nice

The accommodations are lovely. We enjoyed the top floor 3 bedroom corner unit facing the mountain. The skiing was terrific . We took advantage of buying our tickets early and made it reasonable for 4 of us to ski 2 full days. My granddaughter took her first lesson and they were so good with her,...she came up on the lift with me after her all day lesson and had no issues.
I also come here every season not just winter. So many things to do and see. The area is so quaint we love coming up.

My husband and I traveled to Vermont for short ski trip getaway with another couple and chose Clay Brook for their stay and ski package. It was convenient to be able to book our lift tickets and room package all at once. Once we arrived at the resort, the valet quickly helped with our bags and the front desk checked us in and gave us all the info we needed! Our rooms were spectacular! Amazing views of the mountain and all of the trails, very close to the heated pool and hot tubs (which we did use in 18 degree weather!), and only one floor down from the Timbers restaurant. The bed was super comfortable and I appreciated all of the storage and coat hooks by the door for our snow gear! Breakfast at the Timbers restaurant was delicious each morning, however the food and drinks on their menu for dinner was kind of pricey. We opted to travel into the town for dinners instead of eating at Timbers. Because we were all first time skiers (or at least hadn't skied in over five years), we booked a lesson on our first day and had a great time with our instructor, Gilbert! He gave us great tips and helped us learn enough so we could have some fun on the easiest slopes for a couple of days. We were there in the middle of the week which turned out to be a great decision because the slopes were clear and we were able to ski freely without worrying about running into anyone! Everyone we interacted with at Sugarbush was beyond helpful and friendly. The guys in the rental shop helped us with our boots when we thought they weren't fitting properly, and the waitress in the pub gave us great drink recommendations! Overall, I would highly recommend Sugarbush for a fun ski getaway and I hope to get back there soon to keep practicing my new skills :)

Terrific restaurant, pool, staff, and steps away from the slope. Have a great time skiing and relaxing apre! Wunderbar upslope has great bands on the weekend, and skinny pancake not to be missed for breakfast!

Great vacation spot. Perfect location. Upscale accommodation- perfectly appointed rooms that were so comfortable. Amazing outdoor pool and hot tubs. Extremely convenient ski in/ski out. Very glad this was our choice for lodging at Sugarbush. Very friendly employees throughout the resort, from housekeeping, Randall at the front desk, the valets, to ski lift operators. Highly recommend and will be glad to get back for another stay.
