We stayed at the resort for the New Year's break and had a wonderful time. The snow was great, but the wind and cold made the ski-in/ski-out option well worth while, especially for the little ones. The ski valet, boot room attendants, and front door valet people were outstanding in their effort to please. The room was very efficient in layout and good fit and finish level of furnishigs and appliances. Only drawback was the HVAC in the lockout room was very noisy when it would cycle on, and the rooms overlooking the parking lot were noisy because of the endless snow plowing...but we wanted that snow, right?

Room Tip: Rooms on the mountain side are probably quieter than on the parking lot side, althought the views on...

Took the family here for a Thanksgiving, ski vacation. We got one of the 3 bedroom suites. It appears the suite was recently renovated because the decor was updated and in style. Not Euro trash furnishings either, the decor fit the area. They even installed Koehler and GE appliances to go with the granite countertop. Loved the gas fireplace while relaxing on the couch. I sleep on a slab of concrete and usually find hotel beds too soft. Not here, the bed was great. And everything was spotless.

The venue was great too. We wanted a one stop shop and that's what we got. Everything is a short walk from your room. And all the employees were friendly and helpful.

There were a couple minor glitches but quickly rectified without a hassle. Our only recommendations would be, if you're going to label yourself as a luxury resort; leave a newspaper outside room doors and have more than just an old air hockey table, some children's games and a Wii in your "game room". The gym was really small but after a day of skiing who the he*l wants to work out? Not sure if we missed it, but a sauna would be great.

Looking forward to the next visit.

Family get together for Thanksgiving. Huge room, great price decent buffet meal onsite. Not very crowded which made for a pleasant stay.

The mountain opened that day so was able to catch a few turns which made the meal even more enjoyable.

The hot tubs are very nice but the "heated" pool left much to be desired. I really hope they turn up the heat during the season because the temp was in the 70's. Much too cold when it is 25 outside.

This place must rock during the season but the price goes up through the room.

The room was bland but clean. Only one picture on the wall and a large armoire with an old-style tv in it. Very plain.

The bar in the restaurant was well stocked and open during the hours we needed.

The menu at the restaurant was very limited. We chose not to eat dinner there. Our breakfast was fine but still a limited menu.

No other amenities at the place that we were told of. There was no placard or menu in the room to let us know what the hotel offered. For $266 per night in the off-season, we did not find this to be commesurate with the cost.

I have returned to tennis after a 28 year hiatus and decided to try a tennis refresher course. I found New England Tennis Holidays and decided that the Clay Brook location was the right one to try. I went with two other tennis enthusiasts and we stayed in the Condos located on the site. The accommadtions were excellent for three women with two bedrooms and two baths.

We ate breakfast at the condo and the tennis part of the program provided lunch and dinner at local restaurants which turned out to be a real treat.

We played tennis for 5 hours and then took advantage of the health club with a swim and hot tub and then back to the condo for a glass of wine, watching the French Open and get ready for dinner. We had a blast in a beautiful location.

The tennis pros with New England were fantastic and we vowed to come again. The more people you can convince to come with you the better the price! I would even come by myself as I had such a great time.

Room Tip: If there for tennis try to get closer to the courts and health club and then you can walk there!

Spent a long weekend at Claybrook while attending the Norwich University 2012 Homecoming. Although not at their prime season, the hotel was outstanding. Rooms exceptionally large, kitchens fully equipped and finish work of the building better than some houses I have looked at lately. Also their restaurant, Timbers, was excellent. Their preparation of the lamb entree was perfect. Couldn't hink of a better place to spend a long weekend.

We stayed over Columbus Day weekend last fall and were blown away! Because it was off-season, the hotel was practically deserted, and we had the place almost to ourselves. The room was impeccably furnished and spotless. Absolutely loved the New England style decor. I've never stayed in a room with hardwood floors (laminate, but they were beautiful nonetheless). The barn and silo design are so unique and offered spectacular photos amongst the Fall landscape. The restaurant was lovely and the service very quick. Food was delicious too. If you're looking for something unique, this place is definitely it. I don't ski, but I would imagine this hotel would be spectacular on a crystal clear winter's day. Don't hesitate for a second to stay here - you won't regret it!
