Description: The Common Man Restaurant is located in Warren, Vermont, in the heart of Mad River Valley, between Lincoln Peak and Mount Ellen. Sited in a 19th century barn, the dining room is elegant in its simplicity. With hand-hewn beams framing an open hearth fireplace, the 100-seat restaurant is inviting and intimate. Since the original owners, the Orsini family, opened their doors in the 1960s, 3209 German Flats Road has been a popular place for locals, visitors, and skiers to gather for a quality Vermont dining experience. Now in its fourth generation of operation, the current owners, Chef Adam Longworth and Lorien Wroten, are working hard to re-energize this Vermont dining institution with small town hospitality and world class cuisine.

“Good food.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2014

Loved the brussell sprout salad, the pasta was spicy and a little overcooked. I would say some dishes were excellent and some were eh.... But great wine selection.
Try to get a table near the fireplace and if you have kids, skip the glass tables. Way too nerve-wracking for a relaxing dinner hearing the clattering of utensils and glasses.

Food was outstanding and the quality of service was very, very good. Our innkeepers recommend this restaurant and made reservations for us. A must go to place if in the Sugarbush, Warren area.

“May be my favorite Vermont restaurant.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 1, 2014

This is a wonderful restaurant for a couples nite out or special family occasion. plenty of waitstaff to attend to your needs; cozy ambience in a restored farm house with a great fireplace as focal point; Vermont dining at its finest. The owner is an experienced chef from the area; and it shows in the quality of the food. Thursday nites are pasta special evenings along with standard menu items. We return here every year on our trip to Vermont.

“A Wonderful Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2014 via mobile

This is a chef owned and run restaurant, and the love and care shows in the quality of the food and comfortable atmosphere (beautiful timber and plank decor with a huge fireplace). Tuna tartar and pumpkin soup appetizers were wonderful. Homemade ramen noodles with veggies was spectacular; you could taste each individual veggie and the noodles were the best we ever tasted. Halibut dinner was equally delicious. All dishes were beautifully presented and most are made with fresh, locally grown foods. Waitstaff was very knowledgable, pleasant and attentive. The place is pricey, but worth every penny.
