Description: The Common Man Restaurant is located in Warren, Vermont, in the heart of Mad River Valley, between Lincoln Peak and Mount Ellen. Sited in a 19th century barn, the dining room is elegant in its simplicity. With hand-hewn beams framing an open hearth fireplace, the 100-seat restaurant is inviting and intimate. Since the original owners, the Orsini family, opened their doors in the 1960s, 3209 German Flats Road has been a popular place for locals, visitors, and skiers to gather for a quality Vermont dining experience. Now in its fourth generation of operation, the current owners, Chef Adam Longworth and Lorien Wroten, are working hard to re-energize this Vermont dining institution with small town hospitality and world class cuisine.

Enjoyed our meal at the Common Man, food was great and the service was wonderful. It is a very relaxing resturant to have dinner in.

Excellent food, service and friendly waiting staff. The menu is small but that is because it is all cooked to order with many dishes including local fresh produce. They have a very good wine cellar and a nice selection of local beers. Maybe a little more pricey than the average eaterie but then this is no average restaurant. My advice, if you get the chance try some of Adam's Blueberry Icecream it's the best.

We ate at the Common Man 2 nights ago. It was a very rustic setting, and absolutely a very romantic place to eat. The food was high quality, but I would have preferred larger portions. The menu was rather small, but what they did serve was tasty and well prepared.

This restaurant had some of the best food I have eaten - the chicken was unbelievable - tender, moist, and bursting with flavor. If all chicken tasted like this, I would eat it 3 times a day! Others at table had halibut (with black lentils) - YUM - and the pasta with clam sauce and shrimp was a big surprise - not greasy, but very fresh tasting with very good pasta. The prices are somewhat high - but then, so are many other restaurants in this area. Only disappointment was the oysters - and that is because we are used to very fresh caught, very ice cold oysters. Overall, the food, wine and ambiance were great.

Service was excellent - not obtrusive or invasive, but at hand if you needed something. Exactly the way it should be.

Will definitely return when in the area. All in all - a great dining experience. (And again, oh that chicken!)
