“Brunch is excellent...”

Our family enjoys Sunday brunch at The Bird's Nest. The food is excellent, servers are friendly and atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Amanda is always very creative with her omelette specials!

“Wow now dinner on Friday & Saturday, great experience!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2013 via mobile

Stopped in on Saturday evening for dinner after an afternoon of golf & pool side. We checked out the menu and each of us found items of interest. The daily soup was enticing and was very satisfying: Maple bacon Swiss chard & bean - a nice balance hearty and good to the last sip, also included soft pita wedges for mopping. Tonight's stir fry was Red cocoanut curry: an excellent curry with savory heat, super fresh veggies, pineapple & cherry tomatoes over basamati rice - quite good. My wife had the fish tacos: two soft tortillas dressed with crisp lettuce & fresh salsa topped of with a large wedge of battered halibut and a creative aioli flourish - everyone loved the flavors. Mom had the Supreme salad, our server courteously offered to include the chicken breast to make a meal salad- another hit. A nice mix of greens, garden veg, green & kalamanta olives and lightly dressed. Mom's only want was for more flavorful olives. Dad went with steak frites. Local grown beef, tonight's cut (flank) was cooked precisely to order and the potatoes were hearty cut, and perfectly browned. The plate went back empty! Switchback on tap kept me well sated, the wife liked the Pinot Grigio, the Pinot Noir needed to be more subtle, less sweet. Our waitress was warm and knowledgable - pro. Sorry we couldn't stay for desert, tempting fresh baked cake. Hope we come back soon. Much luck & love to the BNB crew.

Conveniently located at The Bridges tennis & pool resort close to both Sugarbush golf club& the mountain resort. A great day trip or over night destination.

“Pub fare with a twist”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 7, 2013

I came here for dinner with my family (2 teenagers + husband). We like it very much. The kids had burgers, I had the veggie stir-fry and my husband had fish tacos. The waitress was very attentive, the martini was very good, beer fresh and our food was excellent. It was nice to find a gem far away from the busy Valley Floor during the 4th of July weekend.

“Four lunch visits with four adults & all great”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 13, 2012

Overall a relaxing and enjoyable experience with well prepared food. Great pub fare and yummy cheese plates are always available for drinking or dining guests. If you only want fresh brewed coffee and an astoundingly scrumptious desert, they too are available anytime! The Bird's Nest Bistro opened June 21st with a lot of charm and well deserved fanfare at the Bridges Resort in Warren, Vermont near Sugarbush Ski Area. There are lots of mouthwatering menu choices to satisfy everyone. Lunch is available 7 days per week from 11 thru 3 PM. Featured at lunch are gourmet burgers and sandwiches, with healthy choices for the kid's menu. Yes, they have a variety of fresh, gorgeous salads. Beautifully prepared vegetarian plates are available. Seasonal entrees and local Vermont foods are highlighted at dinners Fridays and Saturdays, often with live music, from 5 until closing. Coming soon are special Thursday dinners spotlighting tasty exotic themes. Chef Amanda Astheimer made practical, clear headed, nifty, and extensive wine selections for the guests who also have many beer and beverage choices. During the summer, spring, and fall there are spacious outdoor tables with views of the gardens and the swimming pool. With the winter there are comfy tables beside a lovely rustic fireplace, and there is even a picture window to look into the indoor heated pool. Great ambience and the food is superb. And what about the table service and servers? Please don't take them away, because they are superlatively great. Parking is easy even with snow on the ground,

“Great for lunch, don't serve breakfast or dinner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2011

Relax and enjoy a tasty lunch. Atmosphere is comfortable with fast efficient table service. Most servers and chef Arthur have been resort employees several years and super know how to please guests. Soups are made fresh daily. Meats and produce are delivered fresh every day. Coffee is first quality and new pots, both regular and decaf, are made with great regularity. The bar is fully stocked with high quality brands and the selection of beers and wines gives every one an opportunity to get exactly what they want to drink. Yes the iced tea and soft drinks are there too. They have a neat kids menu as well. All sandwiches can be served with chips, or fries, or potato salad - all fresh.
