Went there for tennis camp. Breakfast was OK. Dinner was GREAT. Good choices. Lamb, Steak and Chicken were enjoyed at the table. Appetizers were shared and very good. Convenient and great view.

If you "pop" for a $100 special like the August 15 Timbers Wine Dinner, then you get "Excellent." The rest of the time it is poor to low average. Summertime breakfasts are slowly and amateurishly cooked and served. Management does not bother to train servers. No greeting with a smile, no clearing away of used dishes, seldom offering to refill water or coffee, just inexpert stumbling around by the wait staff and bartenders. And Management doesn't care about the quality of cooking for breakfast, lunch, and the early start hours for dinner. We think the breakfast cooks must be the 5th trainee line cooks who are only "filling in." Dinners are more ambitious in entree selections, but they are unpredictable in preparation and service. Value, based on what you get, and what you pay for comes out as a very low percentage, over all a poor value level. This review is based on visiting Timbers over several years in a row, and for different meals at different times of day. In summary, forget breakfast and lunch, but for a special event dinner like the Timbers Wine Dinner for $100 per person; yes, that is ok.

Thank you for your feedback, which we greatly appreciate. I’m sorry to hear we have not met your expectations. We are constantly working to improve all areas of our operation. New to us this summer is our breakfast chef whom has over 10 years experience preparing breakfast at one of the Valley's better known establishments, and we have had numerous complements about his breakfasts. Our new lead breakfast server earned her degree in Hospitality from Johnson & Wales, and she too has been receiving excellent reviews. We care a great deal about every meal served at Timbers, and we hope your next experience will be to your liking. I look forward to hearing about your next visit. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly at gnooney@sugarbush.com.

Thanks,

The wine tasting dinner that I went to last night was a very pleasant surprise! Over the years we have tried to like and support Timbers, but it has been hard. Last night was an exception and I am optimistic that things have turned around for the restaurant.

Everything was right last night...from the first greeting when we walked in, to the knowledgeable waitstaff, attentive service and fabulous food. While this was a special dinner and clearly the team in the kitchen had fun preparing food not on the regular menu; it showed the team's ability to carefully craft well-balanced dishes. As a casual wine drinker I appreciated the thought that went into the wine pairings; not only did each wine work really well with the dish, but we were introduced to some new grapes as well as old grapes from surprising regions.

I am very much looking forward to going back to Timbers and ordering from their regular menu. The restaurant will be offering two more wine dinners this summer - the third Thursday in July and August - definitely check them out.

There were two of us who ate at Timbers (Clay Brook at Sugarbush), and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food was fresh / delicious, and the service could not have been better. From the bartender to waiters to management, everyone was ensuring that we were well attended to. We returned there a few times, because it seriously couldn't be beat. - Sue (Oregon)

We have been here before and had fine service, but this past Saturday our two year old was having a meltdown and NEEDED to eat. They seated us quickly and gave us exactly what we asked for. Randal (I hope that's his name) our waiter was FANTASTIC. He got my son exactly what he wanted and how he wanted it quickly (I have a picky two year old). It made our evening much better after dinner since is was so easy during.
