Owner description: Sugarbush Resort is located in the historic Mad River Valley of Vermont. With two mountains, sixteen lifts, one hundred and eleven trails, three terrain parks, and the 2,000-acre Slide Brook Basin, there is no question that Sugarbush is one of New England’s largest ski areas. Amenities include multiple base lodges, equipment rentals, ski/ride instruction, lodging, restaurants, and retail.

Went to Sugarbush with family and friends December 28, 2013. Got discounted lift tickets from Hotel.
The hills were only about 55% open with lifts maybe 75%. The skiing was very nice with the difficulty ranging from Greens to a single Double Diamond if I recall. Good enough for my wife and daughter, but not challenging enough for my teenage sons.
Everything was good except the line ups first thing in the morning. This caused delays in getting to the hill and experiencing long lift lines afterward.
Only recommendation I would make is to arrive a bit later when the apres skiiers are in the chalet and the lines are a bit shorter. You will definitely get more runs in. Would go back.

This place has incredible terrain, no two trails are alike and the lifts (mostly high-speed and fixed grip quads) get you there fast.. The steeps are long and the bump runs are sick. The cruisers are wide and have incredible views. The base area is really charming if you want to feel like your in Vermont then this is the place for you. The staff was very friendly and want out of their way to accommodate our requests. I have skied in almost every major resort in the North East and this is my new winter destination. The villages of Warren and Waitsfield are classic Vermont, not to be missed!

Snowboarded and went skiing here for an extended weekend and enjoyed ourselves. The bars on the resort are clean and the staff was friendly as well. The mountain was in good shape and we would visit here again next time we are in the area.

Went to Sugarbush for New England Tennis Camp. Accomodations at Claybrook was outstanding. Large suites with great view. Food was good. Breakfast was adequate but dinner was outstanding. Good menu and surprised us w/r to quality. Camp was superb. One day of rain but there are indoor courts! Would recommend highly!
