“Chef was missing, but still good experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2012

Felt sorry for these guys. Brought my family of five to Terra Rossa the night after a miserable experience at another local restaurant. It was New Years Eve weekend, so everyone was busy. Soon after we sat down they informed us that their chef had called in sick. We thought this was going to be a repeat of the prior night and rolled our eyes, but had no backup plan so we stayed. Needless to say, all our meals were fine to great and service was quick and with a smile so the little ones remained happy.

“Annual New Year's Eve Flannel Convention”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2012

Happy New Year! To complement our frequent visits to The Terra Rossa on the Sugarbush Access Road, we decided to bring in 2012 in Vermont style celebrating our 1st New Year’s Eve Flannel Convention. We are delighted with the consistent high quality of both food and service including being entertained by owner Mike Kelly as he makes his way around the restaurant greeting his guests. From the authentic flatbreads (gotta try Cousin Vinny’s – baddabing!) to the fine selection of entrees, you will not go away hungry and you would have thought your were in the North End of Boston – really that good. We always make the Terra Rossa a must when we are in the Mad River Valley – Mangia!

“Good italian, very convenient to Sugarbush”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2012

We had a group of 4 adults and 5 children and they were nice enough to give us a table set off to the side that was private for us. All the meals and desserts were great. The menu has a lot of traditional italian meals like Chicken Parm, Shrimp Scampi, and Pizzas were hand made in a brick oven and delicious.

“Great Italian Food!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 3, 2012

The owner greeted us at the door at a little after 5 because they didn't open until 5:30 and invited us to sit at the bar and have a drink while we waited. At exactly 5:30 they sat us at a great table over looking the wood fire oven. The food was great as was the service and we will definitely be back there again.

“We found it very enjoyable”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2012

I just saw a review regarding heavy garlic use. That was not our experience. We visited the restaurant on 2/19. They were able to seat us immediately (which we were not sure of with its being a holiday weekend). We had the mushroom goat cheese fondue, along with the garden salad (with gorgonzola cheese added) and the Athina pizza. All were delicious and certainly not heavy handed with garlic. We enjoyed the meal so much we had planned to return to try some of the pasta dishes. We are vegetarian and always appreciate a restaurant which offers a variety of dishes, which this restaurant does, to appeal to the tastes of all diners. Our only disappointment was in my spouse's Bloody Mary (wasn't homemade nor spicey, tasted just like tomato juice w/vodka [he was hoping it would help his sore throat]). However, I found the wine and beer selections quite good.
