My husband and I had very comfortable night in spacious Lovila room with queen bed and two single beds for our teenaged children. Wonderful friendly hosts, Jon and Vickie; Jon cooked a delicious breakfast, letting us in on some of special ingredients (like lemon zest in the granola/yogourt concoction). Had fun in the self-serve candy store which they have set up in front room of the inn.

A wonderfully clean and fun inn. The breakfasts are homemade and just enough to get your day started. We were there for a wedding and reception. The location of the inn was perfect. The beds were firm, sheets comfortable and the bathroom clean. The Innkeeper and his family were terrifically nice.

The Waitsfield Inn had a nice rustic feel to it. From the relaxing Living room with Couches and Fireplace, the study to read a good book in front of the fire to the old Fashioned Candy Store. The Homemade breakfast every morning was delicous. I recomnmend for a relaxing stay.

My fiance and I decided to extend our ski vacation to VT when we heard that they were expecting 8-12" of snowfall the day we were scheduled to leave. The original B&B we were staying at was booked for the rest of the weekend so we headed to the mountain not knowing or caring where we were going to stay the night. Boy did we get lucky when we were recommended The Waitsfield Inn! Vickie keeps this beautiful Inn, which is decorated in the classic VT country style, spotless. The rooms vary from quite large to modest. My fiance and I had a smaller room since we booked last minute, but it had a very comfortable queen bed and enough room for us to relax comfortably. There is a large downstairs livingroom/sitting room with a big fireplace that is arranged so that there are 4 seating areas. The areas are spaced out enough so that everyone can enjoy the fire, but still have some privacy as they relax. The best part of our stay, however, was Jon's phenomenal cooking! They only do a breakfast service, but BOY do they do a breakfast service! Breakfast is two courses. During our stay, the first day we were served yogurt parfait with Jons homemade granola and fruit compote followed by quiche lorraine and maple glazed sausage. To DIE for. Our second day was granola wtih coconut, brown sugar, sliced banannas and maple syrup glaze warmed to create a "Bananas Foster" type first course, followed by French Toast with Jons homemade Portuguese Sweet Bread (which I asked for the recipe for, which he provided, with his own personal tips as well). I'm running out of room, but suffice to say we had a wonderful stay, with every need attended to, plus some extra (like apres-ski hot chocolate by the fire)! I would highly recommend this Inn!

This past weekend, we had an opportunity to stay at the Waitsfield Inn. In Vermont for a close friend's wedding, we were blown away by the personal attention, meticulous focus on details, and impressive gourmet breakfasts. Jon was ridiculously kind and was constantly making sure every guest was safe while traveling to various events during blizzard conditions. He even went out of his way to pick us up from the rehearsal dinner location to ensure no guest would be driving under the influence. Vickie was a kind soul as well. Creating an atmosphere that truly felt like a warm home comes naturally to her. She permeates motherly kindness as she serves breakfast and tended to our every need. We will certainly return to this fantastic inn in the near future.

Traveling to Waitsfield as a convenient location (<10 min) near Sugarbush we spent 3 nights at the Waitsfield Inn. We are experienced B&B travelers and found this Inn and our hosts, Jon and Vicki, to make for a home away from home. Our room (Lovila) comfortably slept 4 and had a newly remodeled (small) bath. There are two public rooms with fireplaces that are inviting places to curl up and read in after a hard day on the ski slopes. Breakfast, included with the room, was top notch - I am a breakfast lover and really appreciated Jon's excellent cooking - I give the breakfast four stars! I would come back for the breakfast alone! We will definitely be coming back to ski again at Sugarbush and stay at the Waitsfield Inn.

We picked a snowy few days to be in Vermont, but could not have picked a better inn. It is centrally located, easy to get to and near restaurants and shops which we could walk to. The great room is big and cozy - lots of new comfy couches, chairs and a great big fireplace. Great to have a bar at the inn as well - we enjoyed wine and some nightcaps in front of the fire. The rooms were quite comfortable, though the baths were a bit small. We had a great nights sleep in the very comfy beds. Jon and Vickie were great to us - we loved the breakfasts and Jon surprised us with a few treats during our stay. We didn't see enough of the area due to the snow, but what we did see makes us want to come back to the area. We will be making the Waitsfield Inn a destination for all seasons!
