My wife and I happened to be in VT during the MLK holiday week.We stumbled upon the Big Picture theater during the 10th annual film festival week. Not only were we able to see a few great movies but also have the unique experience which is The Big Picture. This venue is a mash up of a quaint restaurant/cafe.A small bar within a comfy lounge where live music on Wednesdays is enjoyed.Whats really cool though is that you can have it all while your watching a movie in the theater. The theater is set up with some oversize seats and tables so you can take your cocktails or dinner into the movie. The owner Claudia is on site and very accommodating.Everyone at The Big Picture is very friendly and helpful.A must visit for anyone visiting the area.By the way,the food is very good too!!

After the disappointing closure of the Green Cup Cafe, which had the MOST incredible breakfast and baked goods anywhere, we tried out the Big Picture Cafe, which opened early enough for the early risers in our family. We were not disappointed. The baked goods were almost stratospheric: fresh, excellent ingredients. The doughnuts are addictive. Great variety of huevos rancheros on the menu, "the Eugene" was excellent, but I should have ordered the eggs over easy for an even better treat. Bottomless cups of excellent coffee tops off a very worthwhile visit.

It is so quaint and has incredible food for a little home town place. It is inside the building that houses the theatre and was such a surprise even though Mike from the Yellow Farmhouse Inn recommended it. We sat in the "living room" after dinner just to enjoy the locals and the sweet atmoshere.

They have great food, and u can eat inside or out [ if u do not mind being in the parking lot] the films and great seating are unusual, altho they do have first run films. You can bring in wine and food into the theatre !
