Wow.....Just Wow. So you pull up on this charming yellow home and wonder, "how nice can this be?" It was great. We pulled in and Mike ( one of the owners ) met us in the parking area and showed us in. Went over a few general rules, showed us the fridge, and then to our room. We stayed in the Oliva room. It was a large room with a king 4 poster bed and in room bathroom with Jacuzzi tub. It was quite at night, the bed was comfy, and it was a pleasure to wake up in the morning and sit on the porch with a cup of coffee and enjoy the sunrise, and the horse across the street grazing. Then it was breakfast time. Sandra, gets into the kitchen early and starts her magic. We had fresh baked apricot tart, and the best scrambled eggs ever one morning, and stuffed French toast with maple sausage the next. It was just a great stay and it was cool to talk to the other people too. Next time we make our way across the country, The Yellow Farmhouse Inn is where we will stay.

Of the many B&B's my wife and I have stayed in, the Yellow Farmhouse Inn is the very best -- period. It is a charming and romantic inn with hardwood floors and great views. The rooms are large, the bathrooms up to date with jacuzzi tubs, and the beds and bedding are extremely comfortable. The entire inn is very clean. The breakfasts are delicious, homemade with great care by Sandra and Mike, who are wonderful innkeepers. Both are very helpful regarding the best nearby hiking trails, dinner places (the Green Cup is a must), and other things to do. And finally, there is Dolly, Mike and Susan's lab-chita mix, who stands guard over the entire inn, making sure that one of the nearby Yaks or horses don't decide to take up room under one of the apple or maple trees that surround the inn. Lovers of quiet, relaxing B&Bs simply can do no better.

I have visited Waitsfield (Mad River) over 20 times in last 5 years. Have stayed at many of the B&B in and around the area. Yellow Farmhouse Inn is by far the best I have experienced. Beutifully renovated, no flaking paint, stained walls, leaking windows or crack ceilings disquished as "Turn of the century charm". The Inn keepers provide fantastic service while allowing the guests space and privacy. This truly is the best of the best in Waitsfield.

Our long weekend at the Yellow Farmhouse Inn was nothing short of wonderful. The inn is set amongst the mountains with only a few houses nearby. The Inn itself was clean and comfortable with fresh baked goods and tea always available. My husband and I enjoyed speaking with the innkeepers and playing with Dolly, their lovable dog. Breakfast every morning was delicious. Our room was comfortable and plenty spacious, and had a desk with wifi which we used while we were in the room. I'd absolutely recommend it.

My friend and I were fortunate in our choice of the Yellow Farmhouse Inn. The beauty of the grounds and surrounding mountains upon arrival set the tone for our entire stay. The smell of baking as we entered, the warm greeting we received from Mike and Sandy, and then our beautiful room !! If you're looking to stay in the Central Vermont area, this is worth the trip. We will definitely return to this wonderful, relaxing B&B !!

It was a fantastic time at the FarmHouse Inn. The family is sooo welcoming. Totally to recommend ! Just a few of the nice things we experienced: On arrival chocolate chip cookies just came out of the oven. Iced Peach Tea with garden fresh mint. The Inn keepers are always available to share stories and give the best recommendations on nearby restaurants and other things to do. Beautiful B&B. We had the 3rd floor room, with a view over the meadow and spectacular sunrise visible from the comfortable bathroom and uniquely decorated bedroom. Great breakfast with homemade maple syrup, waffles, fresh strawberries, homemade apple cider and granola. Everybody in the family is very nice. We had fresh oatmeal cookies late at night. The property is very beautiful and includes several barns, one of them has an indoor movie theater, and the other is great to visit all the chickens, rabbits, horse, plus there is a sweet cat and a well behaved giant dog. We had great excursions around the property and visited some of the secret hideaways. Its great to drive around and look at all the beautiful vistas. Great restaurants nearby, from casual to very elegant. Mt. Killington of course is right around the corner and we ran and biked up to the top and down. A nearby swimming lake was just the absolute best in the summer heat. Visit family run farms and buy some fresh milk, cheese, maple syrup and fruits. It would be great to visit no matter what time of year !
