“Not a vegetarian? Go anyway.”
Reviewed March 26, 2011

I'm not a vegetarian. I believe that mankind didn't spend many eons of time climbing to the top of the food chain just to eat tofu. But I liked the restaurant, especially the great service (not afraid to explain things), and unusual combinations and spices. Even the tofu was good, if you get over the unusual texture. And a nice wine list. And a cute decor. It's a small place and quiet on weekdays (check if they're open before going).

“vegetarian restuarant hidden away in back alley”
Reviewed March 21, 2011

We finally found a place to eat in Waitsfield at 8:00 pm after much searching. We were pleasantly surprised by this small restaurant hidden away in a back alley off Bridge Street. I'm not sure how the restaurant survives in this location, but we were glad that they have, especially since my teenage daughter is a vegetarian. The meals were interesting, unique, and very tasty. The decor intrigued us -- lots of interesting things and art to look at and lovely green window coverings.

“Nice but unimpressive”
Reviewed February 27, 2011

My wie and I had dinner at Mint the week before Washington's Birthday weekend. The place is very nicely laid out, service was very good and the wines were truly excellent but the food was surprisingly uninspired and bland. Still, there is nothing like this restaurant in the Mad River Valley and perhaps it's worth a try on a better night.

“Amazing”
Reviewed January 21, 2011

A great dining experience. Fabulous quality, pleasant atmosphere, and friendly, sensitive service. The chef has a sense of food and food combinations that is uncanny. My husband is not a vegetarian and he thought it was one of the best meals he had ever eaten anywhere. My only regret was that we could not eat there again.

“wonderful cafe and tea shop”
Reviewed January 17, 2011

At our recent stay in Waitsfield we stopped at Mint for an afternoon tea and snack. After 4 hours of driving this was exactly what we were looking for. The Chai latte was wonderful, the best I have had. We ordered the pumpkin soup which was delicious and a falafel platter that was fresh and had a little taste of many different middle eastern foods such as hummus, falafel, roasted peppers and syrian bread. The atmosphere was relaxing and cozy. The service was great as well. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area.
