Good food, great service - nothing else to say - f you are looking for a lunch dinner (or in fact breakfast) option - please try this restaurant. Diner style with a good variety. Well worth the trip. Pizzeria and takeout also attached.

I was so excited that they offered a Generations Gold discount. It was 10 percent off. I had lunch and supper there and both meals were good.

During the summer, Chef owner Walt often prepares both a hot soup and a cold frit soup for lunch. We have tried many soups and they all please. Breakfast items are available for lunch and dinner. The short stack of blue berry pancakes is bursting with just picked berries. Meat sides of bacon and sausage patties are perfectly cooked. Walt often brings veggies which he picked from his garden in the morning before coming to work. For breakfast try the "Cluck and Oink" which is a sausage patty with a perfectly cooked fresh egg (the golden yolk sits up) on an English muffin. For a sandwich try the "Famous MRV." For dinner try the Chicken Marsala at $14.95, which is hard to beat for value. Walt bakes great fruit pies.

Several entrees feature shrimp and they are all winners. Walt (the chef) also knows how to make good soup; the combinations of ingredients sometimes sound a bit strange (e.g., cheddar and asparagus) but almost always work well.. His quiche (sometimes with ingredients from his own garden like baby leeks) is among the best we've had, pretty surprising for a spot usually viewed only for breakfast, sandwiches, and pizza. Incidentally, those breakfasts are always good, too. The sausage patties are lean and fragrant with pepper. The pancakes, a bit too thick and sweet for our taste, still have the virtue of lots of fresh blueberries if you're willng to pay a bit extra. The "Cluck and Oink" combo is a perennial favorite. Good coffee, even good iced tea. This is our go-to place when we want a good hot breakfast, a tasty soup and sandwich combo, or one of Walt's amazingly varied lunch specials. An inexpensive and relaxing spot to enjoy the best kind of comfort food.

Went there for lunch a couple of days ago. We met an uninterested waiter in a close to empty restaurant )around 1 p.m. He did what he had to do though without any apparent enthusiasm. The food was at best average. The price was alos quite modest. The fish and chips was indeed what it said but the fish lacked all taste and came right from the deep freeze, packed in a heavy batter. You would refrain frm this dish if you didn´t know it can be a lot better. All together good enough to stop your hunger. If you would be looking for something above that, go somewhere else.
