We stayed for a short ski vacation. This quaint inn is not far from Sugarbush and the hosts are very friendly, accomodating and provided helpful advice on the area. The bed was very comfortable and we got a very restful sleep.

Stayed here for two nights while skiing at nearby Mad River Glen ski area. Great room, great common areas, and wonderful breakfasts. Innkeepers are very friendly and yet not intrusive. Great place!

We stayed five nights for skiing in the area and would return in a heartbeat. From the moment we contacted Alison and Phill, we had guidance about the various options to design our stay and split our time between Sugarbush (Lincoln Peak and Mt. Ellen) and Mad River Glen that suited our interests and timing best. When we arrived and found ourselves facing a -24 degree Monday and a decision not to ski that day, Alison volunteered to try to change our lift ticket package (which Sugarbush accommodated) and then told us about another option at Mad River Glen of which we had not been aware that worked out perfectly for us.

The Inn itself is charming, the room more than comfortable (we received an unexpected upgrade because we were the only ones for a few days and the room we were moved to had separate heating). We peaked at the room we would have had and were sure we would have been just as comfortable and happy with it, as well. Breakfasts were as described positively by other reviewers. And, when we expressed preferences at the beginning of the week, they remembered and made the adjustments without asking us again.

We also were extremely pleased with the location. Close to a number of restaurants (allo of whose menus were neatly in a binder in the lounge for easy reviewing) and literally five minutes (we timed it) to Mt. Ellen, maybe seven minutes to Mad River Glen and eight minutes to Lincoln Peak. We never stayed at an inn or B&B so close to the mountain at which we skied -- and we wouldn't change a thing about the inn or our stay.

We wanted a true escape to celebrate a special birthday and the Tucker Hill Inn was the perfect spot. It's just 5 minutes from Sugarbush, down German Flats Rd., so we could enjoy many of the benefits of the night life there, while having a quiet room, at a much more reasonable price, to come back to. The breakfasts in the morning were to die for ! One morning we had banana walnut waffles beautifully arranged with confectioners sugar served in a sunny breakfast room and the next morning orange pancakes and bacon. Our room was quaint and immacuate with a nice bottle of red wine waiting for us. Alison and Phil were warm and friendly hosts and worked hard attending to every detail. We checked out their family suite so we look forward to returning with the kids someday soon !

My name is Gene. I am 30 years old and have been skiing since I could walk. I skiied all around the world from California to France and never have I stayed at such a wonderful bed and breakfast. My girlfriend and I were looking for a place that was as romanctic as it was comfortable and Tucker Hill Inn was it. I strongly recommend the Inkeepers room as it had a king sized bed with more than enough blankets and pillows, a fireplace, a huge couch, tv, bath with jucuzzi and more. It was the perfect place for us while the owners, Alison and Phill, went above and beyond to help us find new locations, get discounts, recommendations and were the kindest couple I've ever met, not to mention how delicious the breakfast was. They made our dream of a romantic week a reality and for that, without hessitation I strongly recommend Tucker Hill Inn. You won't be disappointed!

It's a very nice place. Owner's are smiling all the time, being sure that everything o.k.
I would go back anytime. The room was perfect, and the breakfest delicious.

I typically stay at major name hotels and am accustomed to a certain level of service.
This was my first time staying in a B&B and now I know what all the fuss is about.
From the moment we arrived at the Tucker Hill Inn, we were greeted with a smile and sincere customer service.
Here is one of those little things that stands out in your mind.
I am an early riser and make my wife tea every morning. My first morning going downstairs to make tea for my wife (I bring her loose Earl Grey with me) I noticed that they did not have honey. I saw Allison (Inn Keeper) and asked her for some. From that day on, every morning and throughout the day; there was honey awaiting us.
Thank you Phill and Alison Truckle, you made our stay special and we have and will tell our friends.
