Right on Lake Champlain with indoor exhibits and a floating replica of an early gunboat; knowledgeable guides.

“Good Info”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

This is a nice little museum with a lot of good info on Lake Champlain and the history of boating in this area. Would be a great place to spend a day with children...lots of hands on activities.

“Nice place to visit on a rainy Saturday”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2012

OK, if it is raining you'll need an umbrella, but it's worth the trip. With 14 buildings, there's plenty to see. Some will be a bit boring for the youngsters, but a lot of very interesting history in a compact site. The story of the lake Champlain battle during the revolutionary war is very well done! A lot of effort went into the making of that movie, and it shows. The folks there are knowledgeable and friendly. All and all a great way to spend an afternoon.

“Worth the detour”

A real surprise to find such a complete and interesting museum far from a big town. Try and time visit to coincide with wreck viewing boat trip.
