“A Lively Local Gathering Place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2012

The breakfast menu is the most interesting; the food can be excellent but inconsistent in quality, (especially the soups). The anytime bars are a good deal for a not-to-sweet afternoon treat with coffee. Three Squares Cafe attracts people of all ages and is often quite busy; it is not a good setting for conversation because of loud dish washing that echoes through the entire restaurant. There are two good handicap accessible bathrooms on site. In good weather, outdoor seating is popular.

“OK, but not great”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 22, 2012

We picked up lunch t go, and the sandwich & salad looked a bit better on the menu than was delivered. Food prep was a bit less than perfect. Would probably call elsewhere next time.

“Perfect for Lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 14, 2012

We sat on the outdoor balcony, and started with the carrot curry soup. Yum! We then shared a delicious salad and a spectacular burger with a locally made cheese melted on top, with a great toasted bun, surrounded by perfectly salted and crisped sweet potato fries. Also yum! After lunch stroll around Vergennes and enjoy the charming architecture, then take a ferry ride across Lake Champlain.

“Holy Panino!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 28, 2012

Be careful with these restauranteurs...they tried to fully immobilize me at lunch today with their lamb & goat meatloaf panino with carmelized onions.....super drool-worthy....but an immense amount of yumminess! As one with an unhingeable jaw, I was able to completely enjoy it....but...no dessert review....except that they looked eye-twitchingly tasty...especially the Maple Brulee (kicking self now). Service was friendly and prompt, the space is lovely, and it always pays off to support local, freshly prepared food!

The only quibble was that my MASSIVE sandwich was $11.99 (worth it) but my wife's Mesclun Salad with chicken added on was $9.99 and paled by comparison value-wise.

“Great food & friendly service!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 27, 2012

We were on our way through Vergennes late one day recently, and stopped at 3 Squares.
The Cafe was near closing, but the kind folks were friendly and did not rush us.
We ordered a burger and a sandwich and were delighted with the quality, freshness, and
presentation. Will stop by again next time in the area. Recommend!
