Our recent stay at Apple Hill Inn was truly a five star experience!
Our room was beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean.
The linens were luxurious and the bed comfortable.
Andy and Beverlee were consummate hosts. They were so warm and hospitable and attentive.
Breakfast was incredible--gourmet quality, extravagant portions, all piping hot and beautifully presented.
The Inn's location is perfect--close enough to dining and activites but tucked away in a country setting that is so peaceful and restful.
We said good-bye to our hosts regretting that we didn't live close enough to enjoy their friendship throughout the year!
It was simply a wonderful experience and we'll look forward to a return stay.

We would highly recommend Apple Hill Inn to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway! Our innkeepers, Beverlee and Andy, were most gracious hosts! They were warm and welcoming, and provided us with a home away from home with a quiet and very relaxing atmosphere. Beverlee's wonderfully fresh breakfasts were delicious, and we enjoyed them with a wonderful view as well. The Paradise room has picture windows on 3 sides to enjoy the fall foliage, with a sitting area and kitchenette. We enjoyed the spacious room for our week-long getaway. The room is nicely furnished. Apple Hill Inn is between Woodstock and Queechee, out of the hustle and bustle, but close enough to dining, shopping and attractions.

Apple Hill Inn was my favorite B&B on our trip to New England. It is a beautiful home which sits on top of a lush green hill overlooking their barn, Taftsville covered bridge, and hills full of fall colored trees. It is minutes outside of Woodstock. It was such a great surprise for us. Our room was beautifully decorated, the bed so comfortable, and the view unbelievable. We had access to the great rooms to relax and enjoy our stay. One glassed-in room is huge with unbelievable views in all directions. The covered patio with wind protection would be an awesome room to host an event. The breakfast was extensive…from eggs to crepes to warm biscuits to fresh muffins to cereal…we wanted for nothing. All this was wonderful but the best is yet to come. The innkeepers Beverlee and Andy were one of a kind. So friendly and inviting. I wish we could go back. One night was not enough.

Our stay at the Apple Hill Inn was wonderful. This was the first trip that I had ever stayed at a B&B and it will be hard to go back to hotels. Beverlee and Andy were great- so friendly and helpful. Their house is beautiful with great views- the photos do not do it justice. Breakfast was incredible too. Being that this was the last place we were staying during our trip, we splurged a little and it was absolutely worth it. I would definitely recommend the Apple Hill Inn.

This attractive B&B takes full advantage of the gorgeous location high on a hill. The public rooms all have large windows overlooking the valley, and a recently added large screened porch should be very inviting in the summer months. Our room was spacious, scrupulously clean and tastefully and traditionally decorated with a four poster bed. My request for an additional rollaway bed was cheerfully met for a small additional charge. And it was comfortable! Stuffed french toast served with real maple syrup played a starring role in the delicious breakfast. The innkeepers could not have been friendlier or more helpful in answering questions about dining options and attractions in the area. The location of this B&B is perfect for anyone wanting to visit Woodstock or the Quechee Gorge area.

Usually, I am very wary when it comes to bed and breakfast places. You know how it is -- either you don't feel comfortable or you feel like the host/innkeeper does not feel comfortable with you or needs to know where you are at all times. You feel like you have to act like a churchmouse so as to not disturb others if it is late at night and feel like you shouldn't be coming and going past 10pm. There are other guests in close quarters and you have to eat breakfast (usually in close quarters) with complete strangers. Also, as beautiful as most people think their B&B is, it usually is not. Unique, yes, but breathtaking? Well, the Apple Hill Inn is different.

I had heard people talk about a 'home away from home' when reviewing B&Bs. I didn't understand. I still cannot say I completely understand, but at least I now get the general idea. Beverlee makes you feel like family. You know, you can be yourself because she is herself. Not overwhelming or overbearing -- just herself. The conversation is natural and inviting. Within a half hour, you feel like the voices in the home could be that of family.

As for the house, it is laid out perfectly for a B&B. It is long, with a suite over the detatched garage. This provides the perfect degree of separation from others. We actually stayed in the Sunrise room (which is the northernmost room in the house), but even it was separated enough because of the length of the house that we felt like we had our own space. The long home stretches further north still with the dining room, then a living room that truly is breathtaking and accomodates additional breakfast seating. The posted photos simply do not do it justice. It affords a sweeping view to the north and west across the Ottauquechee River. Every square foot of wall space is windows in this spacious and inviting light-filled room. Beyond that, there is a patio of at least equal size that is also amagnficent.

I highly recommend this B&B.

We had our wedding at the Apple Hill on 25 September. The site is perfect for weddings. Beverlee (inn keeper) felt like family. She is warm and inviting to all. Breakfast was always wonderful.
