My husband and I stayed at the Stone Hill Inn for 4 wonderful nights. The innkeepers, Sue and Steve Vazzano, were courtesy, hospitable, personable and downright sweet. Steve is the cook, and an excellent one at that. At first sight, we noticed how well kempt the inn was. Our room was spacious and immaculate. Sue and Steve were always available to help us with our needs, and advise us of places to visit, eat, etc. We felt like we were visiting friends rather than staying in a lodge. We would highly recommend the Stone Hill Inn for anyone who is looking for a quaint, quiet, romantic getaway in a beautiful setting.

My husband and I spent a week at Stone Hill Inn for our 25th anniversary, and enjoyed every moment. The inn offers all the comforts and more of a bed & breakfast with the privacy of a hotel. The room was beautiful with wonderful touches like down pillows, plush robes and a relaxing jacuzzi. Breakfast each morning was something to look forward to, fresh fruit, delicious waffles and Sue's morning greeting. The entire staff was great, always greeting you with a smile and hello. Sue and Steve the innkeepers were friendly and warm. The evening appetizer and turndown service with Lake Champlain chocolate was icing on the cake. It was a perfect place for a romantic special occasion and we will definitely return.

P.S. For a special dinner "Michael's on the Hill" was wonderful.
Not inexpensive, but the food and wine pairings were delicious. Just right for a romantic evening.

The rooms are beautifully decorated and huge. The bathroom is also huge with a great whirlpool tub. Excellent common area, beautiful grounds. very relaxing everything was wonderful. Great service from the innkeepers.

The only issue I had was that we did not receive turndown survice as other guests have, and I think there may have been something wrong with the fireplace. It did not emit nearly as much light or flames as it does in the picture on the website.

The Stone Hill Inn is one of the twelve best B&B's in North America. It is so cozy and it feels like home. The first two visits we had, we met the owners Amy and Hap Jordan. They were filled with knowledge about the Stowe area and gave us many valuable tips. The food was amazing and the service was impeccable. This last time we stayed, we had the pleasure of meeting the current innkeepers Sue and Steve Vazzano. They have a great sense of humor, and went out of their way to make sure our every need was met. Thank you Stone Hill Inn for providing us with another great stay, with wonderful memories!!

Wow! What a place. My husband and I were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and wanted a quiet but luxurious get away. Our one regret was that we had only booked for two nights. When we left we both decided that it should have been for three.
It was on the outskirts of the town center and we couldn't have picked a better place. The Innkeepers, Sue and Steve, were just great. I should also mention the breakfasts that they served. There were three choices every day along with fresh fruit and breads. Everything they served was great. The rooms were very spacious and the bathroom in the room was unbelievable. Each room has a double sided fire place to view from your room or the bath. The grounds were beautiful.
I am looking forward to one day returning and I am now recommending it to everyone I know.

We have just returned from a tour of New England. We stopped at five beautiful Inns and judged Stone Hill Inn the best. The location of this Inn makes it ideal for touring and the local town has plenty of eating places in which to have dinner.

WOW, what an awesome place to vacation. Right off an entrance to the Recreation Path. Close to the road for easy access/exit, but set in far enough to not hear the vehicles going by. Quiet, beautiful, peaceful, modern. Nine acres of grounds to walk through. Two rope swings for your inner child. Two-person Adirondack bench set in a picture-perfect garden with a little man-made stream trickling by only a couple feet away. Only nine rooms available, so very few people around. We stayed in the Moss Glen room (burgundy decor) for five nights. HUGE bathroom with two-person jacuzzi. Comfortable bed. Laundry room access--I would have used this had I the motivation to do laundry at the end of vacation. Also, pillows of varying firmness made available to visitors--you could pick your own from the closet if you aren't happy with the multitude of pillows already on your bed! Kitchen pantry with ice-maker, refrigerator (Diet Coke, Coke, Iced Tea, Water, etc. all complimentary). Visitors allowed to put their leftovers in the refrigerator. The cleaning staff and the innkeepers are friendly. The entire property--inside and out--is kept immaculate. Turn-down service every evening with chocolate mint krispies. Dinner appetizers laid out in the kitchen every early evening. Sweet breads in the morning and great breakfast which I only had once because I usually sleep in--but Louann and Bill made sure to leave me something sweet to eat when I woke up! =) We felt pampered. Definitely coming back when possible. Thank you Louann, Bill and Diane for such a wonderful visit!!
