“Superb!!”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

For my husband and I it was a great mini-honeymoon (we are both Vermonters). We weren't so much looking into the attractions or the views, we wanted a place to relax in while having some opulence. This Inn was rated number 1 in Stowe and since it had a jacuzzi with a fireplace I had no problem paying the price of $412.50 (that's tax included).

We stayed in the Moss Glenn Room. Upon arrival we had two stuffed moose awaiting on the bed and the furnishings were immaculate and rich. In shopping around I hated seeing all the same looking cheap comforters on the beds and ugly pasty walls. This was far opposite. I wanted to be thrilled by the room and I WAS!! The Inn Keeper George gave us a tour and showed us how to use the fireplace so I didn't need to look foolish asking.

We received a nice personal letter congratulating us on our marriage and before the tour was over George asked if he could make dinner reservations for us, a nice addition. Hospitality two thumbs up!! The grounds looked very nice too, although it was raining when we arrived so we weren't able to explore. Nice to know through reading that the Inn has a photographer to hire as well for any event at the hotel, and different types of massages you can plan ahead.

We enjoyed the firelit jacuzzi, twice, a third time if time was allotted. The bathroom was impeccable as well the artful design in the shower was noticed and appreciated as well.

We were able to get different thicknesses of pillows as well which was GREAT. I'm really fussy when it comes to my pillows.
Slept so well. We had the option of using a movie from the library too - a great selection although we didn't have the time, still a nice choice.

Linda, George's wife and Inn Keeper had appetizers set out for us and wine during social hour where we met the other guests. For dinner that night we enjoyed Pie-Casso which is just down the street.

Breakfast the next morning was a culinary treat as a chef prepared a selection from the menu - talk about a pallatable treat. Yum! We didn't want to leave. Everything was perfect. Coming back to reality is the hard part. Thank you Linda and George. My words finally came to me since I left your Inn speechless.

Newlywed,
Nicole O'Neil

We stayed one night in September and wished we could have stayed longer. Linda and George are super inn keepers. The decor is lovely and the breakfast delicious. The room was very comfortable and looked out at the garden. They gave us great suggestions for restaurants. Try the Blue Moon Cafe. I agree with all the wonderful things the other reviewers have written.

A wonderful experience. The innkeepers offer top-notch hospitality. Our room was large, warm and comfy. We could step out into the beauty of fall foliage on the large, inviting patio. The game room is supplied with lots to keep one occupied on a rainy afternoon. Breakfast is magnificent. Easy access to good shopping, dining and leaf peeping.

My boyfriend and I found this B&B through tripadvisor. We were on a roadtrip of the Northeast and unfortunately only had one night at this fantastic place.
I lived in Ireland, the capital for B&B's, for 5 years and have to say this is the best place I have stayed at.
As all the others have stated, The attention to detail by Linda and George was magnificent. The facility was immaculate, warm, inviting, romantic, and breakfast was fantastic. It sounds like Linda makes something new every morning for breakfast! Evening happy hour with wine and cheeses. Fully stocked fridge for midnight raids. Beautiful landscaping and serene environment.
This is the place to stay for a romantic getaway but would recommend more than one night :)

Room Tip: We stayed in the Catamount with shared fireplace between the bedroom and bathroom with jacuzzi! The...

We loved our stay at the Stone Hill Inn. I couldn't agree more with the other reviewers who mentioned Linda and George and their gracious hospitality. The wine/hors d'oeuvres social hour is such a nice touch. The breakfasts were delicious, varied and plentiful. The rooms were well appointed and the bed was comfy. The "pillow library" was a favourite of ours. I can easily say that you will be very happy staying at the Stone Hill Inn.

We have just stayed with Linda and George at Stone Hill Inn, and can only endorse the wonderful comments already written about this establishment.
They were perfect hosts, and made us feel extremely welcome.
The pre dinner drink session that they organize was a wonderful way of meeting fellow travelers.
The quality of the rooms and all the facilities was excellent.
We look forward to returning in the future.

This stay was beyond our high expectations from the many outstanding reviews. Linda and George are excellent hosts and all focus is on helping their guests enjoy their stay. From outstanding breakfast cooked to order to an evening happy hour to enjoying the superb grounds. This was an amazing two days. The inn was built to be a B&B and each room has a super comfortable king size bed, a see through fireplace and a 2 person jacuzzi. Our room had a great view of the grounds which have various seating areas and a huge man made waterfall. Ther are fireplaces in the common rooms, plenty of quiet areas, a pool table and hundreds of videos. Linda and George helped us with great restaurant reco's and handled the reservations along with reco's for enjoying Stowe. It really felt like home and we can't wait to return.

Room Tip: All 9 rooms have king beds, double jacuzzi and see-through fireplace.
