“Wonderful Stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 17, 2009

We stayed in the Green Mountain Inn for the third time and It was really wonderful.
The stuff was very friendly and we enjoyed the warm and nice atmosphere in this hotel.
We had two luxury rooms, very clean, comfortable and cozy. Also we had dinner in The Whip Bar & Grill. Highly recommended. Very friendly service. Will definitly stay here again.

We spent 3 days at the Green Mountain Inn in March this year. The hotel was full of New England charm and the staff couldn't do enough for you. After a long day on the slopes it was lovely to come back to a hot cup of tea with home cooked cakes and cookies. The Whip Bar & Grill was also worth a visit and very reasonably priced. All in all, we loved both the hotel and Stowe.

Had an absolutely brilliant time at this plush hotel. It is beautifully kept and presented. Rooms were out of this world; we had a suite with a jacuzzi opposite a fire place, four poster king bed etc. Complimenary internet access. Fantastic restaurant - The Whip, which we rated as one of the best in the town. Loved it.

My fiance and I have stayed here for the past 3 years and this year was as awesome as all the others. We always stay in the same room in the main inn and just love everything about this place. From the 'Happy Hour' on Tuesday afternoons to the tea and cookies all the other afternoons. The pool is amazing. There is nothing like swimming in an outside heated pool with it snowing on you. The Wip is great. Great food. After a day of skiing, some wine, a swim in the pool, dinner at the Wip, there is no reason to leave the Inn once you get done skiing. Everything you want or need is right there. Can't wait to go back next year!

We stayed at the Green Mountain for 2 weeks. The room was very well appointed, clean and warm. The staff were wonderful, very helpful, polite and friendly. We ate several times at the Whip and the food was of a good standard and good value for money

I had an image in my head of the perfect New England village with the perfect Inn to go with it, and the Green Mountain Inn lived up to the image in my head! We had a luxury suite, which was fantastic with a hot tub, fireplace, large bathroom and seperate living room. You pay a little more for it, but it's so worth it! Inn is in a great location in town with easy access to the mountain road and also the shuttle pick up.
The only things that weren't 100% was the wifi connection, which was really slow during the day but sped up at night. And it would be nice to have some bottled water or something in the room.
Other than that, everything was super and I cant wait to go back!

My husband and I stayed at the Green Mountain Inn for two nights. We wanted a nice retreat after a day of skiing and found it! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the staff very friendly and the heated outdoor pool lovely!

Pros:
Clean, cozy rooms
Nice after-dinner bar scene... great espresso martini and draught beer selection
Wonderful outdoor heated pool (imagine getting snowed on, while swimming in bath water.. ahhh!)
Good value

Cons:
Bed is more firm than we liked
We could hear the shower/bathroom fan of the room next door
We had to wait 15 minutes for a delayed opening of the pool

We would recommend to friends and possibly stay there in the future.. We especially enjoyed dinner at Harrison's, a restaurant/bar across the street. Keep in mind that you'll need dinner reservations "in season."
