This was our first time skiing/staying in Stowe, so we booked a room with Green Mountain Inn based on the ratings, price, proximity to the slope and lift ticket package. We were delighted with this Inn. We could not have asked for more. The hotel has the perfect ambiance for a Vermont couples get-away for skiing or anytime. Rooms are small, but very charming. Bathrooms were modern and clean, and the closet space was enormous. For those of you that are coffee drinkers, there's a Keurig the room.
The location is also very ideal. Right in the heart of town, there are a number of great places to eat and drink within walking distance at night, and anything/everything else is within a few minutes drive... including the slope (10 mins).
We did not bring our suits to enjoy the pool, but every night a few couples were relaxing in the warm outdoor pool. Seemed very romantic and perfect after a long day skiing. Bring your suits!!!
My one complaint, and it's minor in the grand scheme of things, was that our room was facing the pool so we had a distance to drag our luggage from the parking lot, including a number of steps. Not the end of the end of the world, but if this is an issue for you, I would STRONGLY advise arranging a room that is easily accessible from the parking lot.More
