“Nice spot right in Stowe”

One of the best places for breakfast in town. Always love a Dutch breakfast and they do not disappoint. It can be busy and lined up but worth the wait at least once.

“A nice break from the ordinary”
Reviewed October 5, 2013

Let me be clear this is a review for the Dutch Pancake Cafe in Grey Fox Inn which is not the same as "The Pub".

What an interesting experience.

I'd never had a Dutch Pannekoek before. It is more similar to a crepe than a pancaked. It is thin and on the crisp side. You can load it with sweet or savory elements. We ate there twice the first time I went with Sweet with the Noreaster (apples, walnuts, raisans and some other things). I was absolutely delicious. The second time I went with the "Breakfast" which had eggs, cheddar cheese and ham. Also delicious.

Pros:
- Great selection
- Great taste
- Friendly service
Cons:
- They use stroop instead of maple syrup (maple syrup can be purchased for an extra $4 in a commemorative container. Come on this is Vermont....

Overall a great place for breakfast and worth the trip. Be adventurous try something on the menu you'll never see again :)

“Great crepes and great eggs!”
Reviewed September 5, 2013

Got to the Dutch Pancake Cafe right at 8am on Sunday morning (Labor Day Weekend), and only a few tables filled at that time. Staff very nice. Atmosphere/decor fine, though not particularly memorable. The strawberry crepe was delightful - light yet substantial, flavorful, with tasty fresh strawberries (woulda liked a little more chocolate sauce on those berries, but maybe that's just chocoholic me!). Pal ordered the veggie scramble, and I can't remember the last time I tasted such creamy, fresh eggs! The veggies and home fries were pretty top notch, too. Hope to pass through here some morning again before too long, and will definitely stop in for more crepes :)

“Worth the wait...and you WILL wait.”
Reviewed September 2, 2013 via mobile

We visit Stowe every year over Labor Day weekend with our extended family. This year 8 of us made the trip. We have breakfast at The Dutch Pancake Cafe at least once while we're here. I have never had anything like the delicious dutch pancakes with any filling or "add in" you can think of. They are worth the 30-40 min wait for a table and 20+ minute wait for the food after you order. Needless to say you better not be in a hurry or starving when you arrive. There are other breakfast options available...but why bother after you've waited so long?! The dutch pancakes are HUGE and none less than $11 so be prepared to pay but you'll be so busy savoring every bite that you won't mind!
