We "happened" upon the Blue Moon Cafe...it was a great find. It was in the middle of the afternoon and suddenly we were hungry! We chose Blue Moon while driving past and decided to take a chance...we were fortunate as we enjoyed a wonderfully prepared and delicious pizza!

What can be more creative than rabbit manicotti over a squash purée? Delicious! My wife's chicken was cooked to perfection and the creme brûlée was a perfect ending to a great meal in a cozy environment!

We really enjoyed the food and wine at this restaurant and strongly recommend it to anyone visiting Stowe (especially if you can't get a look in at the overcrowded Whip Bar and Grill over at the Green Mountain Inn)

Recommended by our inn in Stowe when we couldn't get in to the two pub type places on offer. located just off the main street.
Menu changes each month and has about six starters and mains - all of which we could have chosen. The food is imaginative, combining flavours beautifully and even simple starters turn out to surprise.
The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere. It is quite compact but good use is made of the space with the well presented tables nicely spaced.
We enjoyed our first night so much we went back the next night and were served by the same waitress who had a lovely manner and really know her staff - she's been there twelve years which tells you a lot about the restaurant.
Pricing is above average for Stowe but we were happy to pay.

This restaurant was a suggestion from the owner of the Inn where we are staying and we couldn't have been more pleased. We were told the menu is limited and changes every month so we were a little skeptical but decided to try it. Our food was simply delicious, I had a breast of grilled chicken over mashed potatoes with cranberries and applewood bacon that was outstanding. My husband had the pork loin brined in ginger and garlic which was also delicious. Our waitress was very attentive and knew the menu well. The Restaurant has a bar, yet it's small and cozy with an understated elegance.
