“Wonderful Ambience and 5-Star Food”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

We arrived without reservations but no problem - we found seats immediately. The ambience was warm and inviting and with the cool breezes flowing through the open windows, it was perfect. Our calamari salad and cheese platter starters were delish(!) followed by the venison entree. (C'etait super!) Would definitely go back and would recommend to even the pickiest eaters!! Dinner was one of the three best we had during our 5-day stay in Vermont. Thank you for the memories!

“Excellent food, great service, nice vibe”
Reviewed August 24, 2013

On very short notice (at least for a Friday night in late August), we called to ask for a table and they were very accommodating. We had a terrific meal. The menu was thoughtful and interesting. The food was very well prepared. The service was terrific - great tips and sincerely friendly waiter. They have a nice children's menu and were proactive in making sure timing worked for everyone. All in all a great meal and a nice surprise given the late notice.

“A Stowe Village gem”
Reviewed August 15, 2013

A group of nine friends recently had dinner at the Blue Moon in Stowe. Tucked away on a side street off of main this Stowe restaurant is well worth a visit. The food is locally sourced and the menu varies based on availability of local fare. The ambience is relaxed and pleasant and the feeling continues with the host and waitstaff. The menu is varied with selections that would please vegans and meat eaters alike. Appetizers arrived on time and were happily devoured by our group with each person reluctant to share based on how much they were enjoying their individual choices. The main courses were ample and well prepared whether it was Chicken, Steak or Fish.
No one in the group was disappointed. There were some in the group that opted for dessert and the fresh fruit sorbet and the chocolate walnut cake were the favorites. Our dinner at the Blue Moon was a perfect venue for our farewell dinner after a 5 day biking trip and we all rated it one of our favorite dining experiences in Vermont.

“Unique little restaurant in Stowe”
Reviewed August 5, 2013 via mobile

We had dinner at Blue Moon Cafe last night. This is a cute little restaurant just off Main St in Stowe. The service was excellent but maybe a bit rushed. We started with the Maine crab cake and it was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it. For entrees we had the pappardelle with local vegetables and feta, and the Hoisin & ginger BBQ chicken breast with baby bok choy. The chicken breast was a delight...everything prepared perfectly. The pappardelle was the only dish not up to par. Too many carmelized onions made the dish too sweet. The feta couldn't save the dish either as it seemed like none of the ingredients worked together. We did eat part of it so I guess it had to be ok, just nothing special.

All in all it was a nice experience and priced very fairly. Would we go back? Yes.

“Walked by read, read the menu and went right in”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

And had a wonderful meal. Fresh ingredients, friendly knowledgeable staff who didn't an eyelash when i clumsily spilled water shortly after sitting down at our table. Menu changes often but if the flounder is on it when you visit order it!
