The interior ambience is traditional Tudor pub decor, graciously reflecting Stowe's cultural history-a blend of ski memorabilia, British Motoring classic snd the World-famous annual British Invasion (co-founded by the pub owner) a wonderful radiance of welcome in the middle of chilly Vermont
If British cuisine (sometimes a non-sequitur) is your joy- this will become your Mecca! Great atmosphere, gracious staff, hearty food! Drop-by for a wonderful visit!!

This restaurant looks like an English pub. The menu has a variety of hearty dishes. The mulligatawny was superb! A warm breadbasket with a whipped butter seasoned with garlic, chives, and maple syrup was served before our food came. It was so different, and delicious! The beer and wine menu offers a tremendous assortment of interesting drinks. Worth every penny!

This used to be a favourite spot in Stowe but it has gone down hill at least for the regular menu. The interior needs some updating and brightening. The menu has lost a lot of it's "regular favourites" and the staff seems bored and un-intereted. I would love to see it restored to it's "hay day" but I think other local new places are going to take over.
