The food here is simply great! Real Italian food without all the American influence.

“Great food, views and service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 20, 2010

Stopped in without reservations and got a great table on the deck. Waiter James has a great sense of humor (he works there for community service) but his skills proved otherwise. Meal was lovely, good food, great service. Dishes good in portion, brought out hot. Prices reasonable and we never had to ask for water or bread to be brought out. All requests were honored and James wrote down our meals so they were serviced correctly and caringly. Liked the place, going back tonight after the movies!

“Twice in one trip!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 29, 2010

What a nice surprise! This restaurant was recommended by the Top Notch hotel where we stayed (it being conveniently located just down the hill from the hotel). An interesting menu with excellent evening specialties in a cozy red-checkered tablecloth kind of feeling place. We enjoyed this so much we returned the following night for dinner. Both nights our waiters made excellent recommendations for menu selections and wine.

“We're in Stowe...but feels like we're back in Italy”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2010

Buonismo! We are staying at the Trapp Family Guest Houses and here in Stowe for a week to ski and eat our way through town. Our dinner last night at Trattoria la Festa was fantastico. We lived in Italy for three years, and the Risotto was great! We hesitate to order this...it's either a hit or miss. We were wanting to try everything on the menu...the staff let us have the Risotto for half-size as an appetizer. The rest of the dinner was great, the service impeccible. Was a $180 meal for four...including tip, but not beyond our expectations for a resort town, for four people, and having one appetizer to share, entrees with salad and bread, bottle and a carafe of vino, a dessert to share and espresso and limoncello. The only problem was the background music took "frequent" breaks and it would get too quiet (not too many guests on a weeknight, off-peak)..Grazie for a wonderful evening.

“For Italian food in (and around) Stowe, go to Trattoria La Festa”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 21, 2009

Solid menu, many choices (including meatless), friendly attentive service (even at their busiest), and very good food.

I can't go more than a few days without pasta and was delighted to find TLF on a long weekend in Stowe.
