We just returned back home after yet another wonderful stay at the Commodores Inn in Stowe, VT. We visit Stowe 2 to 3 times a year, and have family in the area. We first began staying at the Commodores Inn several years ago because of what it has to offer all members of my family. In the summer; the outdoor pool, pond with paddle boats and motorized sailboat races. In the winter; the indoor pool, game room with pool and pingpong tables. And the lobby is always inviting with a big open fireplace with plenty of comfortable couches and chairs to relax in at any hour.

This year we were fostering a pup and brought him along. The pet friendly atmosphere is very welcoming. Their breakfast buffet is more than enough food to get you started off for your day of doing just about anything. And you will fnd it all in Stowe!

Enjoy your stay and see you soon Commondores Inn!The Stuart's

A very good value for someone traveling with a dog. Indoor and out door pools, small pond, lots of open space for dog exercise, three hot tubs and limited but modern equjipment in the work out room. Restaurant availabe in season. Very close to downtown Stowe, Vt and its many attractions.

My overall experience was great! The lobby was wonderful. They had a computer and wifi internet access. The breakfast was good and the room was very nice. If I'm ever in Stowe again, this is the place I plan to stay. It was beautiful.

Nestled just off I-89 in Stowe, VT, in the beautiful Green Mountains you'll find the Commodores Inn. It's not what you'd expect but it's a diamond in the rough. From the friendly, courteous, polite, and helpful staff to the spacious, clean, and comfie beds you'll truly enjoy your stay whether it's a romantic weekend away or with your daughter's entire teenage hockey team.
We've stayed at the inn several times when traveling to Vermont for hockey tournaments and have never had any problems, even when the girls got a little over zealous. They were able to relax in the lobby area and have pizza in front of the fireplace while playing games and the desk clerk enjoyed the company!
If you're up for some shopping then you'll be in luck, too. Go into town for small town shops or drive up the road a bit to find Cabot Chees and Ben and Jerry's (the factory-go for a tour)!! Still plenty more, and best of all, the kids enjoy going back!

This was my 3rd time staying here at the Commodores Inn. The lobby is warm and cozy. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, but outdated.

The beds are a little funky - as in the side that most people would get in an out of the bed is a little saggy - this was the case with both beds in the room. The pillows were not so great, and the towels are scratchy. The breakfast is OK, but nothing special. For dinner/ bar food, the clam chowder is yummy, but the nachos were not so great, and the grilled cheese sandwich was greasy. French fries were tasty.

BOTTOM LINE:
I really like staying here - one of the few places that is dog friendly - and that goes a LONG way with me. They even allow the dogs to swim in the pond out back (when they are not racing the toy sailboats.) Home baked cookies and *bug juice* in the lobby every afternoon. Yummy. I usually go to Stowe twice a year, and I do plan on returning to the Commodores.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review for the Commodores Inn. We really appreciate the feed back. It definately helps us to make sure that our guests have the best experience possible. I am so happy that over all you had a very favorible stay.

Your feedback on the mattresses, towels and pellows is very helpful. We will take your thoughts into consideration as we replace them. We definately need to make sure that our guests have a most comfortable stay possible. We also appreciate your feedback about the food in the bar and breakfast. We will bring it to the attention of the kitchen and make sure that they step up the presentation of the breakfast and the bar food. We are in the midst of our off season now and our regular buffet breakfast and dinner are provided only on the weekends.

Thank you again for taking the time to write a review. We look forward to welcoming you back at any time.
