“Great Dinner”
Reviewed January 2, 2014

Food here was good and reasonably priced. I had a steak with a baked potato and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Everyone else enjoyed their meals as well. The service was polite though not particularly accommodating. They had multiple TVs showing football.

“Pleasant Evening...”
Reviewed December 25, 2013

When you walk in the front door, there is a sign that says "Free Beer Yesterday". Good humour to start off! This is a pub restaurant with at least one very large room and fireplace - clearly intended for an après ski atmosphere and it was very comfortable and relaxing. Ordered the Organic Quinoa ($19) and Beet Arugula Salad ($12) with Chicken ($5), one local brew and one Irish one plus a Lemon Ricotta Cake ($9). As I have noted in other restaurant reviews in the area, prices are a bit higher compared to other ski areas, like Lake Placid, NY, but overall OK. However, I didn't think the cake price at $9 was worth the cake. It was OK, but nothing memorable. Owner came by to check on us which was nice. Lots of bantering with two brothers serving the large room which really made for a fun evening.

“Great Food, Great Atmosphere”
Reviewed December 3, 2013

This was our first, but definitely not our last, trip to O'Grady's. Visiting from Virginia, we had the chance to stop at O'Grady's Grill and Bar after looking for a restaurant close to the mountain and the highway. It turned out to be a great decision as we thoroughly enjoyed both our meal and the great atmosphere O'Grady's has created. Sipping on a switchback and a "Heady Topper", we ordered Ma O'Grady's homemade meatloaf and the traditional Irish Shepard's Pie. Both were absolutely delicious as you could tell each was made by an experienced chef....the Shepard's Pie even was made with Lamb (an Irish tradition). Towards the end of our meal, we were able to actually meet the Owner, Kevin O'Grady and his son, Connor. We had a great conversation about Stowe and the restaurant itself, and it definitely made us want to come back to O'Grady's on our next vacation. If you're looking for a traditional Irish Grill with a warm and friendly atmosphere, you need to stop by O'Grady's!
