A decent sized mountain that offers great dining! The food is expensive but they at least deliver excellent food!

we went to stowe mountain to learn how to ski and paid a 90 minute group lesson in the Big Easy. The teacher was very thorough and precise with all his explanations. Started up with the basics and worked our way up. We were ready to go to the lifts. Our children also had their 2 hour lessons. Their instructor was very sweet and gentle with both of them.
The resort is very high end. Ski gear rental is top notch with brand new ski gear. This is definitely worth paying for.

Stowe is one of the most beautiful places in Vermont. The mountain offers activities day and night all year long. It's all fairly expensive, but if you can afford it (or come off-season) it's worth the trip. Some of the best skiing in the east is here, as well as a really fun alpine slide in the summer. There's a toll road to the top, hiking trails abound, and the tram runs year round. Great restaurants on the Mountain Road, too!

Tip - park at Spruce Peak and take the over easy gondola to the other mountain. There are also small gratis lockers located there in the lodge.
