Very scenic and easy path to walk. Quite a few cyclists on the trail, but there was no interruption in my pace.

Rent a bike and ride along the 5.5 miles of this very well design bike path. You wont be disappointed! It is built so you can get many views of moutains, fields, small river, a covered bridge at the end of the path. The 11 miles loop is an easy bike activity for the whole family, no difficult hill on this path.

Highly recommended, especially on a bright sunny day like we had!

All the reviews will talk about the great scenery. They're all correct; the scenery is eerily perfect. mountains, rivers, cows, fields.. it's all of Vermont distilled into a 5-mile ride. If you're walking, watch out for the cyclists and roller-bladers; keep to the right, and do the polite thing and don't hog the whole path. If you're a cyclist, take it easy: there are a lot of sharp curves or blind spots where you could easily run into someone. Our family are pretty avid cyclists, with more than a few racers in the bunch, and we basically ride it like we were cruising through a grocery store, really slow. What we love doing, though, is using it as a main artery to all the great back roads that the path crosses along the way as it avoids the Mountain Road traffic. Keep the speed on the path to under 10, and when you hit a cross road (Weeks Hill and on up has great dirt road blasting) then you can cut loose.

This is a can't miss walk or bike for any age. Kids can play in the river, stop and browse the farmer's market, kiss the cows, it's perfect.

Meanders past brooks, corn field (with a maze), sculpture gardens, over 10 bridges ... this is the paragon of bike paths!

I wish I could bottle the Stowe Recreation Path and take it home with me. Bicycling this path took me down memory lane as I remembered my two summers working in beautiful Stowe. This recreation path meanders over bridges, through lush woods, fields, farms, and ponds. There's plenty of places to stop along the way. I especially enjoyed my visit with the calves, cows, and goats (precious sweet animals. The path starts in lovely Stowe village and ends at the covered bridge close to the remarkable Innsbruck Inn.
WOW! excellent exercise and fantastic scenery from start to finish!
