I was at Mt. Mansfield on the last day of the season that the gondola's go up. Even though there was zero visibility, I opted to take the gondola up since I knew there was no chance to do it later. The ride was slow and nice. I could see pretty well about 1/3 of the way up, then for 1/3 just a hundred feet or so, and then the last 1/3, almost nothing...but I enjoyed it anyway. There is a restaurant at the top that was serving lunch that day, so I ate there even though you couldn't see much except the immediate area. The food was great.
